New Version of Cmdr's Log Available!

The trouble with trying to have it all automatic is EliteOCR does sometimes get things wrong, and asks you to confirm anything it's not sure of. Also, if you have any luxuries onboard when you do the screenshots that will stop EliteOCR as well. So while fully automatic would be nice I don't think its a realistic option.

You could have two OCR modes, one automatic and one semi-automatic (as it is now, although I've not tried it yet - need to get my head around using EliteOCR first) for any manual intervention.

Arch, you da man! I'm glad you've added some OCR functionality so, thank you. ;)

Small oversight, Land Enrichment Systems needs tidying in the default file as it's abbreviated in the tool. (I've updated my own files and there seems to be no adverse affects with the display)

As usual with my posts I would like to suggest a waypoint mode for the trading, Where you can select some stations/systems in sequence and the tool calculates some routes for you. Why? I've been doing some rare trading and it could be fun. I know I could do several one way searches but my hope is the tool could suggest trades along the route.

Also multi station editing would be nice, so after importing several stations in a system, I can highlight them all and set Allegiance, economy, custom fields etc in one pass.

Again, thanks again for your stellar work.

PS don't forget my awesome mission feature! :D

Has anyone been successful with the EliteOCR? Cmdr's Log crashes for me every time I click the Import button on the EliteOCR Import dialog box. I've tried various tick box options but no combination has worked.

Worked just fine... I imported the last 7 CSV painlessly and quickly.

Looking good Arch, just about to start reading up about the OCR thing - not looked at it before. If I could suggest (when have I ever been shy about that?) you could either do a "OCR How To" on the first page, or put in a link to their thread (coz some of us are lazy and/or don't know how to use the search function :p ).

[edit] Oh also, it's "EliteOCR", not EliteORC as you have in the first message. :)

An Elite ORC would look like this:

Not something you want in your space ship. :)

I wonder if it's the version of EliteOCR I'm using, would you mind checking yours and reporting back, I'm using 0.4.1.2. Or perhaps you'd try one of my files, I only installed EliteOCR last night to try it, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong when creating the export CSV file, link https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxarow94rwdepri/AETERNITAS.Filter Station.2015-01-23T17.55.08.csv?dl=0

You CSV file just crashed my CMDRs Log several tries... I am using EliteOCR 0.4.1.2
Your CSV in corrupted.

Thanks, I'll try and work out what's going wrong. I appreciate you looking.

EDIT: It looks like it was just that one file, glad it was the one I asked you to try. All the others I have seem to work. Thanks again.

FEATURE REQUEST - Not sure if this is doable
.
I currently have an excel sheet that I use to record system range from one system to another http://www.warpeddrive.com/files/upload/starchart.jpg
I tend to have a different table for separate groups of systems as I find a central system and trade with systems within a radius below my jump range. This means the table never gets too large.
Is it possible to have such a feature added to the log in the same way as snippet, journal etc or even a button that opens the excel table in a window like the trade window.

Thanks a lot for adding support for importing CSV files from EliteOCR.
Makes it A LOT easier to import data now.
I had made a VBscript program to parse both the CSV file and the system_data.txt file and then update or add stations and commodity values in the system_data.txt file. But I had to stop and start Cmdrs Log each time making it a bit more tedious to do.

Request:
- Make the importer a single click action. Ie. make a separate button for the import settings dialog, so that when you have done the settings, you only have to click the import button.
- Some how give some feedback that the import worked and it actually did import something :) Like: Successfully imported 2 stations and 87 commodities.
- Preserve the timestamps from the CSV files. They contain exact timestamp including what timezone it has been used.

Keep up the good work, and try to get some gaming time for yourself as well :)

The age sorting in the main window is really not helpful at all.

Might want to add an option to not display the "13d-18d", instead just show the 13d etc.

Currently when there's both kinds the sorting doesn't really work very well.

This is just super fantastic and brilliant, I was manually entering all the data, which took ages obviously, but my OCD just wouldn't let me not even put in Biowaste, regardless of never trading in it. Thanks for the OCR addition, now I can spend more time flying rather than entering all the data.

I'll be donating for sure.

EDIT:

£20 donated and worth every penny.

I've found that hitting "set all to current" gets rid of that

The import csv causes the program to crash.
Exception code 0x0000005. Fault process I'd 0x1298

Probably my system??

Oh well the v2.0 is ok
