Discussion Newbie Question regarding parsing logs for minor faction status

Good afternoon, Commanders:

I have a quick question. I downloaded the Journal Manual and would like to begin exploring interacting with the player log. Specifically, I'm looking for entries that show the player's status with minor factions. I've noticed in the manual that there is a "ReceiveText" section. Am I correct in thinking this is where I would look to retrieve the player's status with minor factions, since it is in the comms panel that you receive notice of being cordial, friendly, or allied with a minor faction?

I have been looking through my own log files and cannot seem to find any entries that show my status.

I'm not aware of any entry in the journal file which refers to your reputation with a minor faction (only superpowers).

The "ReceiveText" event only contains the chat messages you receive (upper left panel) and not the ingame mail system.

Thanks for your reply, Gazelle. So, if it can't be pulled from the journal, can it be pulled from the game the way the market place tools pull market info?

No, there is no faction info in the cAPI data.
