News flash: No CGs this week

I've been doing my part to save everyone in Sol. Whats that? I've just been made Rear Admiral? Oh gee, my calendar suddenly filled up. I'd love to help out more but...y'know. Good luck with that fire n'all :)

It more depends on whether the rewards are attainable.............. at all.
They’re definitely attainable, you’ve just gotta be the best...around...

Funny you should mention that - I was doing exactly the same thing with my alt in a T7, until they made me a RA. Then promptly bought a Corvette (handles the heat much better than my T7) and headed to Achenar. Those Imperials were a bit concerned seeing me rock up in a corvette in their home system and one of their patrols even pulled me over for a scan but they seem to be warming to me now that I'm helping rescue whichever hard working Imperial citizens will offer me most rep. :)

How are you all getting rank-earning missions while grinding rep between a burning station and the rescue ship? Are you going to other stations to grab missions in between rescue runs?

Is there an advantage to doing so (aside from knowing where you are with rank)? I've been under the impression that reputation keeps stacking even if I'm not taking rank missions.

In my case yes. As soon as I had hit the rank I was after, I went over to Lave and started rescues over there.

Am wishing I had managed to have a go at this one - nicely done folks!

Btw, am not sure why (some kind of font issue, I guess) but while I can read your post OK on my desktop PC's browser, it's completely unreadable on my Android tablet and phone (despite trying multiple browsers) - see pic in spoiler.

It does keep stacking, if you don't do any rank up missions. I was just doing station rescues until I got bored / fancied a change of scenery and then heading over to the nearest station, where several times I was able to take a rank up mission, complete it, come back and immediately take another for the next rank.

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the responses.

I was having so much fun in my reconfigured Type-7 that it never occurred to me to bring a bigger ship. Not sure what I was thinking there.

Now I'm off to see how much goodwill I bought myself!

In some ways, using the T7 was more fun than the Corvette, as my T7 really struggled with the heat in the stations and I had to keep a careful eye on its temperature and manage multiple heat-sink launchers while collecting salvage inside the station. When I changed to the Corvette, it sat at 67% indefinitely in the station while the limpets did their thing, so with nothing to do, I ended up reading the forum while waiting. The Corvette was much more efficient though, as it had more collectors operating, bigger cargo hold and more passenger compartments.
