Next Franchise Community Challenge: All Together Now, Release All Animals

The community connected page (https://www.planetzoogame.com/community), lists the next franchise community challenge as "release all animals".

The last time we had a challenge so broad was for the anniversary, which made for a lovely gift to the community. But now I'm wondering what (if anything) we should read into having it repeat so quickly. A few options I can see:
  • The anniversary challenge may have just been really, really popular, so they thought they'd repeat it. Particularly at a time between dlcs where player count can sometimes drop.
  • It could be being done in honor of an animal holiday. (February is Responsible Pet Owner/Animal Guardian Month)
  • It could be part of a larger dev review to see which animals are being used the most. (Although I'd think they could get that info elsewhere).
  • Just a good way to clean out our trade centers, particularly if we have animals from past challenges that need to be released.
  • A sign that they are closing down the franchise servers soon, as this seems like the type of thing that one might do as a last hurrah. (Hope this one is just me being paranoid!)
  • An overcompensation from some earlier challenges that were too difficult to complete, so they're giving us a really easy one this time around.
  • It means nothing at all, and just happened to be the challenge that got pulled out of a hat for the week!
Any thoughts?

Unrealistic fantasy : There is coming a biiiiiggggg change in franchise mode and they have to empty the storage to do so. ( or worse, all animals, even if they are in the zoos ,lol! :ROFLMAO: )
To comprimize the loss they give us the chance to get something in return: earning avatar clothing , and maybe zoopoints or something like that.

Second thought : the 14 th is Valentine, wich is by accident precisely after the challenge.
I haven't any idea but who knows, maybe they have something in mind to do something with this date. ( like... eh....All animals are in love so we get a LOT of babies to deal with?:geek:)

But ..probably it is just to give us a second change to get every avatar clothing etc. And well, I will try to get 600 animals out of my zoos this time to get som more items!

The challenge failed at 96%!

It never occurred to me that it was intended to clear out our trade centers, though. I got credit for releasing animals directly from habitats, and that's mostly what I did. Would they want some people to stop playing the game before they are even done releasing DLC packs?

Is there a reason they'd be shutting down franchise servers, and if so, is there a reason they would use this as a method to get people ready for this?

I really hope they wouldn't shut down the franchise servers. I love playing franchise, sharing my animals with others, and incorporating theirs into my zoos. I'd be so disappointed if that ended.

I think it’s a bit premature to be worried they’re shutting down the servers soon. Eventually most likely at some point yes. But probably not a good 2-3 years at very minimum. But I’d think definitely not something to try and read into with this most recent challenge.

a good point about there possibly be upcoming changes though.
