The way I see it is that I've bought the game as-is, and any updates are a bonus. The game does exactly what it says on the tin and ok, it has some issues. Every game does, and all will eventually be ironed out. Have patience and faith that the guys who develop the game will do their best to keep your interest and cash flowing in. Game development is big business and they won't want to throw it down the toilet. Relax, have fun and accept what it is. Or don't play.
I share a lot of the frustration with patches and updates we all have. But i have to admit, i'm happier with Frontier than i ever was with Bungie. At Least we have the producers responding to us, saying they are working on it. We all want the game to go forward, and we all have many beefs with the game. But personally i think Frontier , for the size of the company and the scope of their work. Is doing a good job. Regretfully its industry standard to be cryptic as possible.
I'm going to hang on playing Elite Dangerous, enjoy what it is. Patiently waiting for what's next. Because i honestly believe, because of "cross-buy" and Microsoft playing from behind on console sales. We'll see some great stuff in the future. This game has a TON of potential. I've paid more for a lot less.
We should never let any Software company off the hook, afterall. We are what keeps them in business. They'll either listen or we take our money elsewhere. So I couldn't ever fault another player for walking away. My thought is, keep complaining, keep recommending, and be positive when they do something we find amazing. The minute any community goes silent on game content. Is the minute it will start falling apart.

i might be on my own but aside from a few issues I'm thoroughly enjoying my 33rd century blast through the universe.

oolite is rather good as a replica of the orignal. i have that on my laptop, along with horizons.

I'm only 21, and instead of going out & getting laid, I'm sat every night in front of a computer that I poured over £750 into, with more purchases coming later this year.

All I want is some news for future update, if they exists. I'm not here for ask of future expansions, free dlc, for horizons or other thing. Just a patch for current bugs. Since the launch of game in early access, every month a patch has been released. Actually, there are some bugs from december. All i want to know is if a new patch will be released. Nothing else.

Best place to keep tabs on patches/updates. It is still somewhat cryptic, but that is FD.

Yes, a new patch will be released. No, there is not a definite date known as to when that will be. All known information is collated into the threads that were linked early in the thread.

May I ask in what sense are people still having issues ? Because since the last major patch I have only had one issue while I was out mining, whereas before the patch the game would crash at least once an hour for me, am I just being extremely lucky or am I not doing the same things as others that get the issues ?
