Next ships?

For me a long range, exploration ship the size of a Python which has minimal weapons but has decent shields and an array of counter measures to cope with most things also able to out run and out jump everything.
40 LY jump range min.
I want to explore next and take everything with me including a range of vehicles and keep the ship repaired whilst looking for Thargoids :)

I do think there should be a secret weapon that is made up of very rare materials/elements, across the galaxy once found the Thargoids turn up!
 
Before adding some ships, would be nice that they find a usage for some existing ones *cough*Orca*Cough*Keelback*Cough.

I am suspecting there could be new ship with the multi-crew. That could explains why a ship of for 4 players is as strong as a wing of 4. My 0.02 cts.

Personally, I find the ship line-up very unbalanced in regards of combat. Larger ships cost more, and they perform better for trading, mining etc., but they are not worth their money for combat. That is, if you enable multi-player, you can have more effective firepower for the same money if you buy several smaller ships rather than a large one and equip it with turrets.

So basically power output/shield+hull strength/weapon effectiveness should scale a lot better with size and money.
 
They would be foolish to add many more at this point because they will do a walk around your ships expansion and the number of ships is a relation to the development costs of that expansion.

FD have there eye on development effort you see because they are sensible.
 
Instead of adding more ships to the game, please make so a lot more variation for station and outpost !!!

For now it's really boring and lifeless...
 
I would guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 100-175 hours from concept to textured model.

At least! Most likely more, when you add animations as well, like turrets and landing gear coming out. I personal don't feel that they went the copy and past route. I think they are trying to show continuity like a car manufacturer line.. some common traits of design, like a Ford looks like a Ford, and Chevy looks like Chevy.

I'd like a ship which wasn't at the Cobra tier with 2 med and 2 small hardpoints! A vulture Nemesis please. 2 med 1 large .. .make it slightly more fragile than the Vulture but +400 in boost.
 
i cant wait for the day that we can see whats behind the door in our cockpits in the current ships....surely the Conda,Vette,Cutter,t9,clipper,orca,python would all be a pleasure to walk around.
i expect a crew lounge area/living quarters,and a npc crew member that looks very much like john hurt....complete with a baby thargoid bursting from his stomach
