No crew lounge at Anchorage

Erm, what happens if I optimally equip my ship for mining and remove SLF hangar? I mean, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to assign my pilot back after I reinstall the module back into the exploration version... Do we need to be aware of this and keep our hangars in the ships if we have company?

The whole point was to give us a station that had nothing until we did CGs for it.
Cmdrs didn't get it and moaned about no repairs and no carto etc... FD gave in.
My guess is crew lounge should come after a successful CG.

Probably true, but I'm not taking any risk. It could happen I'd need to go to Colonia to get my pilot back... I'll just operate at reduced capacity.

I totally forgot about this, and took the SLF hangar off. Ooops. I'm not too worried, since I mainly have the SLFs there to do a little canyon-running and for multi-crew, so I don't really need my pilot.

Jumped to Grim Pioneer to check and it doens't have crew lounge either. So for now it is best to hang to the hangar. ;) I too have the SLF for the canyons but I like to have her around... Reminds me of what my wife used to look like. :D

Yeah, I did the same thing, removed my fighter hanger and a day later when I decided to do some bounty hunting, realized I had no way to activate my crew member. Ugh, I really didn't want to not have my crew for this week and maybe not at all if a Crew Lounge never opened at EA, so, I did a quick trip to Gandharvi and back, really only about 3 hours round trip with an already long range and now stripped down Anaconda, lol. Managed to get a few supercharged jumps at 290.41ly, that's my personal record now! :D
I'm still more bored of mining than I am extremely fast travel.

I've kept the mining fun by trying out the new mining tools for the first time. At Omega I only used mining lasers as the station had no Pulse Wave Analyser. Found a couple asteroids with low temp diamonds and earned more credits that I will with mining rewards (not aiming for upper 10%). Oh, my son loves the asteroids being blown to smithereens...

There is a crew lounge at Anchorage now, dammit! I mean, a great thing, but if I only knew that earlier I'd save myself a few trips from the station to "my own" icy ring...

I have a dumb question probably.....but.....

I had worked up my pilot back in the bubble to a pretty high level. I forgot to take her along on the trip, but picked her up (magically...lol) at one of the stations along the way. Then I realized I really didn't want her any longer and de-activated her.

I keep noticing on EDDiscovery that she's still getting paid out of all my exploration data when I turn it in. Is there any way to turn off her getting paid for not doing anything but still keep her as one of my pilots that I want to use when I get back to the bubble?

if only someone had mentioned it earlier in this thread...

Huh? I think I kept everybody up to date pretty nicely.

Not that I know of.

Nope, they get paid whether they're active or not. My understanding is that this is to prevent people from deactivating them, selling data (or turning in vouchers, etc), and re-activating, as a strategy to avoid paying them.

If they actually did anything useful from an exploration point I wouldn't mind but they don't.

This is why you hire them when they're unskilled and train them up. Because apparently the 34th century has really awful employment contracts with no potential for renegotiating your salary.
