No On-Foot Nightvision?

I've tried rebinding to other keys, to controller, but it's no good. I simply don't have night vision. The flashlight works, yes, but I've tried multiple suits and looked at buying it as an upgrade, no luck. Am I missing something?

Looks like it's an engineering mod. No idea how to find/get repped with the suit Engineer yet.

Oh, I didn't even think about engineers! Never used them, will have to try. Night vision is essential since most of the places I go to surface-side are in the dark side for some reason.
