No Settlement Loot: Post Maintenance

As a workaround, it might be worth checking if you can buy them from a nearby FC on Inara? (inara components search). Though this can also be frustrating because the data gets out of date quickly.

I watched a streamer loot a dark settlement repeatedly last night with no problem finding Odyssey mats, data or otherwise. This was in the Bubble, the CMDR was pledged, and the system was occupied by some Powerplay Power (mentioned in case any of that makes a difference).

Sadly, none showing on Inara, and I've visited several FC without any luck.

It would suggest the problem might be Colonia only, though that would be very weird, unless it's somehow now tied to PP mechs; or that the problem is localised to a few CMDRs and possibly some corrupt data on their profiles. The latter would require that FDev changed the spawn nature of crash sites though, as previously logging out/in would spawn all the loot, whereas with settlements it wipes all the loot - I'd suspect there is a "new instance" flag on the CMDRs profile, but it's purely guess work on my part.

People have pushed the prices up because of this. When can we expect a fix?

Let's see, weapon scopes were broken on the Aug 6th update and they've only just been fixed by the Oct 31 update. So...3 months plus.

Or possibly when the T8 is released which will probably require an update at Nov 28.

By reports I can find, Support escalated it to QA on Aug 14. The bug was confirmed in the popularity tracker by Aug 16.

10 days. Good thing farming materials isn't a major game progression mechanic. /sarcasm

I also encountered the problem of no generation of materials in settlements. All boxes, containers and even just lying around everywhere before - all empty. I recently cleared the settlement - all boxes are empty, I only profited from the power regulator - it's a shame. And it broke after the update.@Support somehow comment on this bug?

Was hoping that today's improptu maintenance might fix the problem, but saly not.

The system map is not up to date. Just went to a system where the port is "abandonned" just to find it fully loaded of NPCs and active.
And of course, every single locker is empty of any loot. And every datapad has.. no data.

So I cant go around to find what I need to engineer my magazine size on the handgun because of this....

Tried to take a mission where I have to get data.
Went to the settlement, the mission is to take data from Command building port 1.
The data is there.

So it seems that if we have a mission to grab an item or data, it still works.
But if you go raid an abandonned settlement or go raid anyplace where you have no mission, it's all empty.

I'm having this problem as well. Also when you go to a station to pick up ground CZ missions, the NPCs don't even function properly anymore they just stand around and won't even try to capture the control points. They will shoot at you if you get close to them but that's about it.

I've had good luck with the on foot massacre the gang members or legal assassination missions , The mats are present, just not in great quantities. I've also had good luck with mats (other than data) as mission rewards post patch.

Unfortunately, I have also been to infrastructure failure systems and had a hard time finding abandoned sites with much loot.

I've done a couple of settlement massacre missions in the last 30 minutes and there was plenty of loot; also the data points now contain powerplay data.

Having same issue here, been doing 5-6 missions now in a row, 3 diffrent systems, from covert assasination to covert heist and massacre. No settlement have any loot except the medkits, energy and ammo/grenades.

No relogs, no dc.

If i travel 40+ ly away to another system from where i log in when starting playing, i can find loot at settlements, but then go back to my home system, there be no loot again.

its like if you log in, it will disable loot spawning in settlements in an area around you "login" system.
Kinda annoying.

I postulated that theory a couple of days ago. Your experience seems to confirm it is somehow linked to PP 2.0.

I'm quickly running out of things to do in Colonia, but the prospect of wasting a 12 hour round trip to unlock my 2 remaining engineers is what is keeping me there for now.

I'd like FDev to at least acknowledge this bug and offer up some compensation before I am forced to make the choice of returning to the bubble, so I can decide what to do.

Edit: Jumped from Colonia to Farwell - a distance of 44ly - no data in data ports. So yeah, clearly PP 2.0 appears to be the culprit.

I'm chomping at the bit to try the new system, but I'm out in Colonia tryng to get cocktail recipies and faction associates - neither of which appear to be mission rewards either, simply compounding the problem.

My experience is the locker with a mission item will spawn loot, but all others won't. The same for data ports, but data type is dependent on building type, and so that won't be a work around if you need HAB data for example.

Yeah, now when i did log in, i went to a settlement in my home system that has no PP related stuff due to being outside the area, nothing spawned. Went straight closest area that hass PP in system, and stuff spawned in settlement to loot/download data. Go back to my non PP system, nothing spawns!
