I'm not so sure about that. I applied for a refund on my pre-order as soon as this news came out and I haven't even heard a squeak from customer support. I only have had a automated reply from the system.

Doesn't really matter how anyone reads it, everything (bar the rewards) on kickstarter was liable to change, everything in alpha was liable to change, everything in beta was liable to change, everything in gamma is liable to change and everything is pre-release is liable to change, only after this point will anyone know what a game contains feature wise, this is how it has always been and will continue to be, the idea that people are thinking anything other than that is frankly mind bending.

Luckily in many countries (including the UK where Frontier are based) there are consumer protection laws, and some draconian concept known as False Advertising. It's generally illegal and bad form to take money from people for a product that doesn't meet the stated specifications on delivery.

If I sold you a banana, would you be happy if I sent you a grape instead? After all, they're both fruit, so what's the problem? Oh, you don't like grapes? But grapes are better!

Is this an imaginary banana?? that only exists in your head and therefore is liable to change if suddenly you realise that you cant make a banana with 6 dimensions and time traveling abilities??? cos that id understand, its not like you actually have the banana infront of you to give me.

Thats the part folks seem to be confused about, what was written on kickstarter and what has been said all the way through IS NOT a game specification....it is a plan and plans as everybody knows change due to un forseen circumstances or events.

No point as the final relase was missing the clearly advertised offline capability - without that being advertised, I would not have pre-purchased it.

No it isn't. Here's my analogy from a billion posts back - it's like the world most delicious hotdog being offered to you, except you're gluten intolerant so you don't want the bun. When the guy's about to give you the hotdog, he says 'I'm only going to give you the bun because it's the bestest. Be happy! Oh and have some extra onions for free. And why are you moaning?

Well your several stages ahead of any kickstarter project, all they have are art work and a couple of demo videos, hence why people are called backers and not customers cos your not buying anything, your backing a guy go do his best to deliver his idea.
