Newcomer / Intro no thrust in supercruise

Hi There CMDR's
My 3 month old X56 HOTAS broke. I getting it replaced on warrantee but they said it will take 4 to 6 weeks
So, I am using an old joystick. I have set throttle to the little slider it has and it works fine in normal flight. However when I go into supercruise There is no throttle response I just cruise an minimum thrust.
Any ideas?

Idea 1:
There is a difference between the "Throttle" and "Forward and backward thrust"
They both work the same in normal space, but SC needs the "throttle" bind.

Idea 2:
If you use "Forward only" throttle setting and use the "reverse" switch button, check if you aren't switched to reverse. Reverse in SC doesn't work, of course plus it prevents throttle to go forward, resulting in being stuck on 30km/s minimum.

OK, its working now. I had it set at thrust. I changed it to throttle and it works now. As soon as I changed it to throttle it removed thrust, apparently you cant have both bound to the same axis.
