No volume in Elite Dangerous using CV1

Recently I have upgraded from a Rift DK2 to the CV1. I am impressed with a lot of it, but (within Elite Dangerous) the audio is very quiet through the headphones, even with the volume turned up full. In the games/demos that I have downloaded from Oculus the volume is much better (so I am then running them with 20-40%). Is this a known issue within ED? I have looked for volume issues, but I have not found anything.

Make sure you have the Rift Headphones set to default in your playback devices sound settings (right-click on sound icon in lower right system tray), and disable other sound devices.

Its a pain, and a known bug.

Otherwise, you also might need to turn up the sound in the Rift using the remote control (little + sign on the right hand side.
Also, the ED in-game audio volume settings?

Thanks for that. I had the Oculus volume turned up to full, and what I heard was crisp, clear, and very quiet. I shall see what happens next time I play (set Rift to default).

No need to diasable other sound sources, just set the Rift headphones to default.

Can also check and make sure your audio is set to normal rather than full range.
the rift audio headphones aren't quite good enough to handle (hardly any gaming headsets are)
