non-stop Mauve Adder again

I came back to Elite. Playing Horizons to get to used to things again.
I was getting Mauve Adder disconnects every 30 mins or so randomly.
There was a patch then it stopped.. until the small patch on Friday. Since then it is every 15mins or so randomly. Sometimes even minutes apart.
Whatever was in that previous patch worked and fixed it completely then a small patch and it even worse.
The game is completely unplayable if you get booted by matching server every 15mins.

High end PC, High end GPU and super fibre internet connection.

What gives?

I mean, even in a APEX taxi I'm getting Orange sidewinder errors now, I had to switch to Horizons to be able to log in at all... I'm sorry, but the last few weeks are unacceptable from Frontier, they seem to be completely incompetent to fix their game

Last night was even worse.
Blue Cobra errors all night, Literally less than 1 minute apart.

The game cannot played if you're dropping out every 2-3 mins.
Is there ANY explanation as to why this is occuring?

Same here, constantly, yesterday lost all my core mining and ship after respawn with 5 pirates over my head, npc pilots trained missing too.

I played last night (I am on EST) until about 1:00 am, and everything was ok, but I tried to start the game just now, and I keep getting the Black Adder error code. The login screen always pops up while the game is loading as well, something that never happens when there are no issues. The launcher says that the servers are ok, but since I am not the only one, they obviously are not. Either that or Frontier did something to whatever files they keep saved with out information that is preventing us form accessing the games.

I read up on the Black Adder code, and this is what I found on one of the top websites that Google displays when you look it up. Mauve Adder seems to be about server issues:

"Black Adder / Yellow Adder

This is usually a temporary error regarding your CMDR’s details, involving either the CMDR data itself or a module within. Frontier suggest restarting the game and trying once more to load in. If you are not successful with a follow up attempt, it’s likely that the support team will need to make some changes within your CMDR data, and you should log a support ticket."

I have the same problem. Doing solo core mining and I get Mauve Adder around 15-30 minutes and it's frustrating. I bought new laptop (Lenovo Legion with GTX 1060Ti graphics, Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM for now) so it's not problem with hardware. My connection isn't the fastest but it's stable (Discord and Steam are connected without any problems same with few online games I play like Warframe).

Me too. All this week trying to play and getting all kinds of errors and crashs to desktop... High end PC with stable connection, all other online games work properly, just Elite Dangerous is running like ****

Playing for the first time in a couple of weeks. (Work hours suck atm). Today I am getting dropped randomly from Horizon due to "Matchmaking Server/Mauve Adder" error. I am definitely not going to go mining until this is resolved.

I'm in the same situation. I came to play ED after 1,5 years but I can't play because of this Mauve Adder error. I tried almost everything to fix it but nothing worked. :/

This is normally an indication of networking problems. IIRC this specific error deals with connecting to the match making servers.

Maybe you can find something in options->networking. IIRC Elite also occasionally has had problems with VPN software, so if you've used VPNs in the past it might be worthwhile to look into.

Thanks for the reply. I don't use VPN. But I've tried so many things about networking. Port forwarding, firewall management, network device reset, changing IP, adding DNS, changing network options in the game, etc. I've also tried to uninstall/reinstall the game, deleting player profiles, checking game files, updates, changing file compatibily to older win versions, disabling AV, updating drivers and windows, reading forums, watching videos etc. I really don't know what esle can I do more ! I will try formatting my computer which is I didn't try yet. if it doesn't work too, I wil try crying too :p Because I'm trying to solve this problem for more than a week. Then I guess I will give up trying to play this game. :( I didnt have any problems about this game when I was playing it 1.5 years ago. I have 200 hours of playtime and the game had crashed or had problem only one time I guess.

I've also did all the things which are mentioned on the link that you shared with me. I didn't contact with ISP because I have a really fast and stable connection. I have always low latencies in games, never loose connection. I only have problem with this game. And I really don't get it why !

At the bottom of that link is a small box to submit a request, try to do that. Support will surely know more than us forumites and will hopefully be able to help you.

Good news. I guess I'va solved the problem. I just changed my connection from WIFI to cable (which I didn't try because I never had problems with WIFI in games) and I could play for 45 mins. without having any problems. I don't know yet if it's related with this but for now its all good. We'll see if I get this error while using cable. thank you for your attention.

It normally happens immediately after a server update and sometimes intermittently, but if it's a persistent problem then it's most likely a networking issue for the affected user.
