Noob Killers

I've been ingame the last 7 hours, and already suffered a billion Noob Kills from players.
Now, is this the sport in this game, to hunt and kill the defenseless?

In the past 7 hours, I made loss, due to these players.
And quite frankly, this is bloody annoying, not to mention frustrating, especially for new players...

If this is a trend here, then I am very sad I spent money on this game.

There is a solo option. And yeah there are d bags in every game that do this kind of thing. Just make some cash in solo get a ship and leave the noob areas that are getting trolled.

You can also join groups that purely pve like Mobius and what not. It is kinda like open but purely people who want to avoid pvp altogether but play with people.

Pretty much any system less than 15 light years from LHS 3447.

I went about 20 ly away, and the vast majority of player interactions were positive.

This is phrased as some kind of excuse or "valid gameplay" (TM) to excuse the low-life tactic that is noob killing. Stop already. There is no justification. It is indefensible.

As mentioned, I've heard möbius is a great group for PVE. You can try solo as well. What I did was get the heck away from the starting systems (in no particular direction) and once out if you run into another player (not common) there's a fair chance it's a friendly. Ignore the trash and get outa there fast. You'll be glad you did and you get to enjoy a great game thereafter.

I watched many Tutorial videos before I bought Elite. Every one said "get out of the starting systems first".

Well I in the olde days was in starting systems for a long time and was ganked just once. Did not bother me. My two friends who started recently were not ganked at all yet so the potato is not so hot. Take it as a man and when your time comes, give it all back.

Slightly OT - I remember scanning an NPC Python in a Hi RES site and the AI pilots' name was "Noob killer" ranked Deadly, but not Wanted unfortunately

I thought at the time, what a cool name and imagine cruising around the starter systems, terrifying the new CMDR's.

Back on topic - to the OP, getting killed when you first start is a fact of life in ED and probably happens to a lot of new CMDR's. ED does have a steep learning curve at the start and there are plenty of things that will kill you - NPC's Stations, other CMDR's and also things you do yourself to name a few.

You can either give up or do what the majority do and use it as a learning experience and move on.

I have more love for a pile of dog pooh than Noob killing Pirates, but i have to say that these first few killings that most of Noobs experience (I did), are really only an extension of the 'Training Missions' that we all should have Done?

Call it Training Mission.... 'How to die from a Pirate' !

As Long as you LEARN from the death, so you will hold the image for when you are much further down the line in a fully combat Vulture (Delete Vulture and insert your Fav killing machine) and you come across said wanted Cmdr Pirate, the Vision of your death comes back, the red mist descends and blow his bottom off!!

Revenge is a dish best served with a 'Plasma Accelorator' (Delete Plasma Accelorator and insert Fav Killing Weapon).

In other words OP, don't give up just get better!
