ok i take a break from the game because i think its too hard to get started. now when i come back to play for some reason a federation ship keeps destroying me when i try to take goods from one star system to another. i like some things about the game but the parts where i get destroyed for doing nothing is getting on my nerves. i really want to learn this game but simple trading runs arent possible if i get destroyed just for sitting a half second too long in space. I dont understand why they made the game like this. I just want to be a trader and buy and sell from port to port til i get better trading ships. i restarted a few times with a new ship and now it seems i have a loan going up every time i die. is there a way to start a fresh game and try to avoid losing the game. I'm sorry if i dont understand the mechanics of the game but I cant seem to get past the few starting hurdles.

1. Clear save, it's in the options menu if I remember correctly. It will make you start all over, and wipe the fines and bounties you may have aquired.
2. Fly tutorials.
3. Look at some of the youtube videos that are linked with the tutorials. They really help.
4. Add me ingame if your problem persists. Cmdr Anuranium

Pay off any fines you get immediately. If you don't they turn into bounties and anything with a laser will try to collect the bounty.
It sounds like you may have picked up a couple of fines early on and when you took a break from the game they have turned in to bounties! (not the coconut kind)
The game clock keeps running even when you are not in it so it thinks that you have ignored the fines i think
