Not a Rant but a Rather Odd Question About A Rather Odd Finding

Ok that seems pretty pointless, we already have a huge fusion reactor at the centre of the system emitting vast amounts of power that's ready to be collected, it's called a star, I can't imagine this being more efficient, for a start you would have to disassemble a number of full sized planets to get the material to build it.

A Dyson swarm perhaps? Dyson swarm can collect energy/fuel nonstop and are not expensive to build. These would look cool in some wealthy/federation/empire systems.
Also I wasn't very serious about the full-scale megastructures, that pic is from "Gigastructures" mod for an RTS.
