Not in the patch notes - canopy integrity halved.

Why the holy hell didn't they actually make them 30 integrity across the board!?

That's a mystery. Apparently they don't want people to fight without shields, but then they could have given all ships the same hull strength as well.
Why give some ships more armor but the same crappy canopy, I don't understand.

Your video here surely is solid proof, too, and it's newer than the one I quoted. However it does not lessen any confusion, because we still don't know why after the latest patch 15 was chosen instead of 30 as we had. Now it seems to me like aligning the numbers for the sake of aligning them, without any reasoning.

So there was a probably a bug that the canopy sometimes blow at 50% but instead just fixing it, FD also nerfed the canopy... What a suprise
 
Flying the wrong ship? I'm offended. I don't know if that was your intention (to insult people who lose their canopies in pvp), but I am. I fly almost exclusively hybrids, in PvP, and I can assure you that canopy integrity is a total joke and always has been for us. I have 20-30% hull left when my canopy goes, that's over 1000 effective health stil to go (and shows I am flying the right ship). This is one of the biggest ongoing problems with the balance between shield and hull based builds.

You obviously missed the joke. What about the imbalance between combat and exploration builds?
 
Sorry for missing the implication, obviously I'm not really offended, but I was triggered a touch. There is no need for a disparity between explorer and combat builds. I can build you a 70ly phantom that can survive a 2 or 3 man gank (maybe 4 in the right hands) (800mj shield is what I consider gank proof)

If you said to me 'Do you seriously expect explorers and traders to engineer in the same way that combat pilots do?', I'd have to say 'No, I don't'. BUT, FD did put this massive defense inflation in the game, so that they could if they were so inclined.

It;s a rock and a hard place, but the truth is, this has little to do with canopy integrity which is such that to run a hybrid or hull build is to be at an immediate disadvantage.
