Overheating is not the only chance to die in SC!
he could have a hold full of Unknown Artifacts eating his ship up.
Is that a thing?

My power plant is a B7 not a basic model as I followed the rule of the best I could afford. Hence no novice mistakes ( bar the not enough for insurance ).

I always thought flying without insurance as more of an anaconda thing. This is a serious question: why do these threads _always_ get made by python owners? Are python owners like hunters in WoW?
The python is a very nice looking, capable ship, please don't give its pilots this kind of reputation!
Au contraire, the biggest novice mistake possible.. spending your money on shiny upgrades when you couldn't cover your insurance. There really isn't a worse newbie cockup than that in this game. I'm sorry for your loss, but can't pretend that it isn't completely self-inflicted. It's far from clear how someone can play enough to get to a Python without learning the absolute basics like this (assuming that you did earn it yourself, of course).

Just going by the previous whinge threads on how their beloved anaconda blew up. People think "BIG SHIP HURR" and try to rush it.Historically, it was an Asp thing.
It comes down to this question...
Can you play for 200 hours without seeing the mass disrupted by factor of x message?
Then, assuming the probability of the answer being "no" (close to zero), the follow up question is "is it probable that the player had the nous to work out what it meant or the industry to find out?"
The answer to that question is less predictable. But does tell a story about the subject's "experience".

True, true... Even Hitler flew the Asp and made the same mistake.
