If there are any other intelligent lifeforms, then they surely hide from us.
We are constantly expanding, pillaging everything we can, killing all who are not human (and kill each other too, if we are bored) and obviously we can't die.
I sometimes hope for aliens who are capable to conquer the bubble and then FD just leans back and see who wins. Would be interesting to be forced to become nomads, hunted by an superior race.... until we apologize and admit that we started the war (what would be most likely true). If one day player settlements will be a thing, that could be an option for a galaxy reset to stop the credit inflation.
