Note: Do not use the Squadron Allegiance UI to collect data. It can be wrong.

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but I thought I would reiterate it and link my bug report as I haven't see a report about this specific issue.

If your squadron is supporting a specific minor faction, you can see all the data for each system that faction is in using the Squadron Allegiance section of the Squadron UI. This information can be very inaccurate. Here is one example I found after the tick today. I am not sure why the system map is getting updated at the tick and the Squadron UI is not but be aware that it can report incorrect data and you should always verify what the Squadron UI reports.

Dont trust station news either, that can change at various times during the 1-2 hours of the tick. In fact, dont trust anything until about 15:00.

In fact, I wish FD would bite the pillow, just produce a log for ALL systems once the tick is over, and let the 3rd parties suck it in. It would solve so much messing about.

Yep, this.
How great would it be if Inara was populated daily after the tick?
It would allow 'playing' the game remotely, checking faction status etc. I believe it would expand our ability to engage with the game no end.

I've found the converse to be true tbh... after the tick, the allegience page is what's correct, and it's system info which is wrong.

What is your reference for truth? In system status info?

The whole day, influence/states etc are in one, err, configuration[1], where system stats and the allegience page are identical.

After the tick is meant to happen... system stats (both in-system and the system map) are still in the earlier observed state, but the allegience page is different. The tick happens roughly when I go to bed at the moment.... when I wake up in the morning, in-system/system map then matches what I saw on allegience page the night before.

Sooo... I go off the Allegience Page usually.

[1] to avoid overloading the term state.

I've checked it again today. As with prior to 3.3, you can get the system map and system status UI to update to the new post-tick information with a log to the desktop. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for the Squadron Allegiance page which did not update when I relogged and the other info screens updated. It did eventually update to show the same information as the system info and the status UI but I'm not clear on when or why that happens.

Relying on Data on the (currently quite considerable) phase during the BGS "cone of confusion" (the period where Data is starting to be distributed across the Servers) has always been an issue.

I've never understood why FDev allowed a "work in progress" fluid progression of highly unreliable Data to feed back to the Servers over multiple (temporary conflicting) avenues - instead of finishing the update and then distributing the data to all Servers at once, who'll flip to displaying the new Data coordinated via "Distribution Sequence Complete" flag.

But given the near-unworkable BGS with all its other severe issues, I guess it's not a major issue. At least it isn't an old one, it just spreads over the new Squadron mechanics as well.
Add the incorrect rounding (a very basic coding error) and you invite alot of avoidable issues.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a fully synced (professional) Data Distribution though. We never had it for what it's worth.
