Notoriery 1 is already heavily disturbing to me

I've been a naughty CMDR for the last week or two. All PVE so far. My notoriety has been 9 or 10 most of this time. I'm also hostile now with a faction that controls several systems where I am working.

I have found the hot ship concept to be pretty good. The one drawback that has limited my gameplay (though only a little) has been the inability to access outfitting in my hot ship. And this issue has just been addressed.

I have more restrictions due to being hostile, than the notoriety. As before I was hostile, all I need to do was swap ships and I could dock at my enemy's stations. Now I can't. I'm fine with this, and could easily raise my rep if it bothered me enough.

When I' cruising in my hot ship, I'm frequently getting interrupted by bountyhunters or authority ships. It's a nuisance at times, but often it just gives me a fresh target. I have had to stop attacking a target and run a couple of times. I have also had to abandon collecting some nice mats because the second wave of cops was too much for me to handle. This is all great fun and I'm enjoying the extra gameplay that this gives me.

I've made a base in a local anarchy system. I've had to help them in a war to keep the system anarchy. I go there between pirating sessions and swap to a clean ship to do some missions that don't involve murder.

There is only one thing that has become a nuisance. I got a 400cr fine in a nearby station when a NPC jammed my Type-9 in the mailslot. Fine was for "tresspass", which is silly as I got out of the slot well before the countdown. Now this ship has a Fed fine attached, so I guess I can't use this ship in any Fed stations. But now I can't pay the fine anywhere, as my notoriety is too high. It's only a minor setback, as I can easily use or buy another ship. But I expect that I'll be storing several ships over the next couple of weeks, as I seem to get fined rather regularly.

edit - one more nuisance. Many of the bountyhunters sent after me are from a faction that I am allied with, rather than the hostile one.

Speak for yourself. I'm a 100% PvE player, & I love the 3.0 Crime & Punishment system. I just wish the bounties you gained were sufficiently high that getting them cleaned wasn't automatically the easiest & best approach. 6000 Credits for Murder is pitiful.

I have 150mil worth of bounties om my head, a sidewinder in Eravate gives 5mil a kill.

Or they could just give up on the whole "all ships are equal" thing and only use notoriety to punish player on player crime, make it a pilots association penalty.

I wholly agre with this. It's clear that the P.F. has some seriously long reaching tendrils out into the various lesser factions of the galaxy and a tremendous amount of behind the scenes power. It makes sense that penalties for member vs member crimes would be harsh, and they can clearly influance how stations react to pilots. Hell you can be fighting in a civil war against a stations controling faction and still dock there, probably because the P.F. has some kind of far reaching power that no organization wants to oppose. It's likely that they could tell a station to teach one of it's members a lesson in civility by cutting them off from all services for assaulting a fellow P.F. member. And as powerful as they are, I can't beleive that EVERY civilian pilot in the galaxy works under them, some people must have gotten their wings elsewhere.

this whole new system was based around a problem PVP had
Not entirely true, some of the measures implemented were specifically targeted at PvP implications but the vast majority of the changes were not. The C&P system needed revising for many reasons.

As a 99.9999% PvEer (to 6sf) I think the way that C&P has been revised for 3.0 is a net positive thing.

It is ok for people not to like it, but lets be clear - (at least) everyone on the PC platform had an opportunity to review the changes in the "public beta" and provide feedback through the proper channels. If anyone failed to do so when the opportunity was presented then they only have themselves to blame for not doing so. Likewise, where being kept informed of the impact of those changes are concerned then FD have made a reasonable attempt to keep everyone informed and those that have ignored those attempts only have themselves to blame.

So as someone who is not effected by the changes you think its a great idea?
There is no reason for hot modules. Bounties should stay with the charcther.
There is no reason to have power play bounties. Either a group wants you dead and are willing to pay people to kill you, or they don't want you dead. Either you don't mind being hunted by a group of people you have been murdering or you do and you have decided not to power play.
Outfitting has been fixed. I think denying access to services provided by the people who want you dead is a great change. Looking forward to superpower bounties.

Consequences are good. These changes NOW seem reasonable.

Think the Devs need to focus on finishing up the changes they plan to implement and start working on Criminal missions.

Would love to see criminal who jump into help you because you have 10 noteriety and are allied with there faction.

Hate being attacked by people who you are allied with. I would love to see some more benefits to being allied to a minor faction.

Right now pirates always attack every player no matter your reputation or noteriety. Would be nice if they recognized you as a friend if you are friends.

Everyone is affected by the changes to one degree or another, including me and all other PvEers.

I disagree - the necessity is mandated by a handful of people that try to unreasonably mitigate the intended consequences, suicide sidewinder for example. The hot modules aspect is for similar reasons to the hot ships mechanic.
