Notoriety Level Rank Names

Will the notoriety levels have cool rank names? It could be earned based on the amount of bounties and fines per player:

Cabin Boy
Powder Monkey
Gunner
Sea Artist
Boatswain
Quartermaster
First Mate
Captain
Pirate Lord

It's like a badge of honor and distinguishes noobs from veterans.

Update, these are more suitable, generic rank names:

If this is ever going to be a thing, my suggestions would be:

For Killers
  • Petty Criminal
  • Felon
  • Outlaw
  • Villain
  • Marauder
  • Scourge
  • Assassin
  • Terrorist

Hopefully these ranks/statuses could be utilised in some kind of future criminal underground mechanic.

Names for the notoriety levels might be nice, but it looked like these aren't permanent things and I don't know if naming something that changes "constantly" is needed.

Anyway, they shouldn't refer in any form to some fantasy romantic view of imaginary age of sail pirates.

Yes this sounds better, because it are generic descriptions of a criminal.

GTA V has 5 star wanted levels. One Star doesn't sound cool.

It doesn't need to be permanent. Just like in GTA the wanted level disappears after being caught, killed or paid off the fines. The default could be Clean.

Like the idea, but since we're talking about criminal notoriety, need some good bad guy ranks like "first offender", "miscreant", "outlaw", "desperado", etc. :)

The problem I see is that by keeping a count of offences, and worse, by handing out titles to go with these, it will only serve to Encourage the sort of behavior that this is meant to discourage.
Which will mean even more CLogging threads than before, as people are denied that 1 more kill to bring their Notoriety levels up above That Other Guy. Competition for Badges of Dishonor will become an even bigger drama-fest.

So one step forward, but a full fall down the evolutionary ladder.

I love this!My list:
Clean
Dodgy Geezer
Del Boy
Journalist
Estate Agent
Politician
UN Ambassador
Alan Sugar
Donald Trump
That should cover it?

Yep, that about covers it for me, but there is a hell of a jump up in attery between the last two ranks methinks! Might need to add a rank between the last two. I suggest everybody's favourite mooseknuckle, Nigel Farage :D

Fake news. Too much biased mainstream media. :p

Like how the Wall Street Journal interviewed PewDiePie in 2017 and then reported things out of context to make him look bad. That's what the biased MSM does to people they don't like regardless of the truth.

Also the phony praise by the sellout mainstream media critics for Star Wars: The Last Jedi which contrasts fan reviews. It has the lowest user review scores of any Star Wars movie on Rotten Tomatoes (49%), IMDB, Metacritic (4.6 / 10) . That has once again discredited the "professional" MSM critics.

True, and to be fair to Mr Trump, surely another rank should be higher - which is "Whomever Mr Trump says is guilty" no evidence required... - or perhaps "anyone with a combover"?

The unelected and overpaid Eurocrats are at the top of the political ladder. Spreading rumors based on unverified sources didn't require evidence, but caused a lot of misinformation.
