General / Off-Topic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is Burning

I don't think that they should remove the scaffolding. Not all at once, anyway. It could be hold up, what's left of the building. Any scaffold poles, effected by heat, should be replaced; one at a time.

It seems that they will remove everything.

How will "Notre Dame" behave at the time of the removal of the 500-ton scaffolding, composed of some 500,000 galvanized steel tubes, which had been mounted for the restoration of the arrow of the cathedral. According to the experts, the extrication operation should be the first major act of the spectacular reconstruction program that is coming.

Probably easier to replace the lot than test them where they are replacing as you go. The heat may have wrecked them without altering them visually at all.

Yes, there are 500 000 tubes. They can’t be tested one by one.
If simply replacing them one by one; forget testing them on site, costs 10 Euros per tube. That would represent less than half a percent, of the current available budget. Plus; said tubes, if faulty, can be recycled and the good stuff, will be going back to its owners, in time.

However, I suppose that since the arrow and the roof and the vault of the cathedral were destroyed, the configuration of the scaffolding will be completely different.

This may explain the need to dismantle it completely and build a new one with a different shape, in relation to what remains of the cathedral and the progress of the works ?

Whilst there are some substantial holes the vault hasn't been completely destroyed.

Of course the stonework has been subject to substantial heat which might be more serious.

Why this makes you think of Monte Carlo Casino ?
On August 18, 1913, at the Casino of Monte Carlo, the Black came out 26 times in a row at roulette.

This is related to the statistics I suppose, but to understand it would be necessary to read all the posts related to the post of Bob.

But I can be wrong of course.

That was the 'conspiracy theory' portion of the thread where a lot of stuff was getting thrown out to claim a 'trend' in certain events without actually defining parameters or providing evidence.

Evidence was provided, by so called approved fact checkers, some people just choose to ignore it. Now nothing regarding ND has surfaced until now supporting that the fire was arson, so till we get all fact on the table we simply don’t know A or B.

400 tons of lead contained in the roof and in the arrow of the cathedral, like the varnishes and paintings used for its decoration, have volatilized in yellow volutes laden with toxic particles. A risk on which the official speeches remain opaque.

The strongest trend in the data is the vandalism by the far right showing common methods and motifs across a range of targets including cemeteries, synagogues, catholic churches, mosques, war memorials and offices of political parties. This has been rising since the Visegrád Group joined the EU.
However the proponents seem keen on dismissing that trend.

I never said who did it, I said there was a trend..... -_-
