My attempts to start a harem failed spectacularly this afternoon.
I finally found someone who looked remarkably normal, with two matching eyes and a Harmless rating, so thought I'd put my Elite rated NPC on furlough and give the new girl a try-out. I said: "Eye, eye, you look Harmless, hop on" and offered her one of my empty seats (after she'd got me a coffee).
Arriving at the local Haz-Rez I deployed the fighter, selected the new crew member and immediately got a Black Adder. When I logged back in she was gone as if she'd never existed, along with my credits I don't doubt. Lesson learnt: the ugly ones might be best sat in the hold but at least they don't steal your money and leave you in the lurch.
They also make better coffee.
