Well if you then roll back to the previous driver you are seeing your fps double ;-)

However if it ain't broke, my experience with nVidia, don't fix it. Seeking the extra 3-5% speed increase "for free" always comes with drawbacks, like major bugs in other games for example. And in the end its way overrated, like "wow I got 10 FPS extra in my game, i'm running at 65 FPS now" *
I use the drivers that work with all games without bugs and then stay with them. If a performance increase is desired, I change the card/computer instead of looking for "free miracles".
* If you game seriously, get a decent, err no sorry, an AWESOME desktop gaming rig and replace it at least every 4 years. Otherwise you really don't know what you are missing
