O class Stars... Where are they?

I'm returning Sagittarius A* visit. I collected/saw every star types except "o star". Either i was going or returning i couldn't see any. Also in the Galactic map, i am using filter for any "o star" there is no return any result. Am i missing something or there is no "o star" in the game?

Yeah, they are there, you may have to search for them a bit harder... Up and Down, believe me though they are there and they are well worth seeing even if someone else has the first discovery, it's great to see that Purple tinge over everything...

Found about half a dozen in and around the core on a recent trip...they are rare and not easy to find but if ye filter down the stars to look only fer those specific stars, then with any luck ye will find a couple. They tend to stand out even from a distance on the map, though it can be difficult honing in on them...on the map they might appear as a dull firefly from a distance...stands out a little.

That being said, its really only now and then that ye will find one at all, but well worth the trip if ye do though just fer the curiosity aspect. They give off a very unique colour which turns everything a varying shade of purple ^

Funny that we're here mentioning this... I'm just going through some pics and came across one that me and a mate found in a system, but the best thing there was a USS of what seems to be a small 'doughnut' station, not seen wreckage like that before... I'll get in touch with my mate after work and organise a couple pics here as they show that purple tinge quite well

One of the Waypoints of the Enigma Expedtion is an O class star - great system too, it has a ringed Neuton star and the rings are 12ls across!

The system is HD 175876

O type stars are indeed fairly rare but close to the core they aren't too rare, you should find one in less than 5 mins of searching with your galmap, just be sure you filter out any other star types.

Turn the galmap to “map” mode, switch the filter to “star class” and turn off everything except for “O stars.” Any stars left over are, by definition, O’s.

Don’t see any? I bet you still do, even if you’re not close enough to any for them to be listed. All those white blotches filling the galmap (once the clutter of other stars is removed) are the location of a super-hot, super-bright object - Wolf-Rayets, very large Herbigs…and O’s. And O’s are much more common than the other two.

If you're taking a direct route from SagA to Sol you'll be travelling directly in a suppression zone (is there a better name?), i.e. the area where certain star types are not generated/available. They're not hard to find beyond - try searching for "Sectorname AA-A" a few times and chances are that you'll get a few O class systems in that sector as results.

The following visualization might help understanding where the the suppression zones are (from https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/334967-Distribution-of-Star-Types-across-the-Galaxy):

Yeah, so far I've only found a single proc gen WR but Herbigs aren't too rare.

O types tend to be in clusters rather than single stars.
O type clusters are not hard to find. They stand out in the sky box and can be seen from thousands of ly away.
NGC 7822 is one example not far from the bubble. KM Cassiopeiae is another on the way to the Heart and Soul nebulae.

a general search in my database from my first long trip shows 245 of them. some with 2 and even 3 in the same system.
They are out there. What I do is be in map mode and filter only O and scroll around in the direction I'm going (up-down & side to side)

wow thanks for all participants. I don't expect that too much answers for my stupidness about finding o star [yesnod] Very appreciated...

I am kinda like bubble person. In reality and game i like to be in the human bubble. That's why i was going to Sag. A* at 3304 :)
I will try everything that you've suggested. Thank you all again.

BD+55 191 is a system in a nebula. Despite that it is visible from well over 1,000LY away. From the right angle you can see the light pouring out of the nebula like a waterfall.
