O type

Found my first type O star
My lord it was huge, jaw droppingly stunning
Even from 850LS out this thing was huge.

Another much smaller O and an A in the same system

Undiscovered too, which is nice.

I like the sound of my ASP when i drop off an O type...
Seems it's screeming and praying for not being eaten by the monster.

Yeah I noticed that, funny thing is that O wasnt the main star but obviously its where I came out
55.84 solar masses so it was thel;argest etc, engines did whine a bit when I exited FSD
On my way now to another massive one, seem to have spotted a load in my region so gonna take the opportunity to catalogue some, few black holes in the area too, hopefully all undiscovered.
Nothing worse than not seeing a discovered tag for 200 or so systems then dropping at 1 after another discovered black holes.

Crikey, 2nd was even bigger
Had a secondary type O that I scanned at over 39,000ls away, these things are monsterously magnificent.

This is unfortunately just how it is, there's lots of eyeballs in the heads of lots of explorers out there, and they're ALL looking for bright blue dots, black holes, and nebulas. I would venture to say that even if the vast majority of space is unexplored, there are very few clearly visible objects (from the galmap) left untagged.

Found a few undiscovered supergiants on my way to the Skull and Crossbones nebula. Of course, this is likely because the data hasn't been sold yet.

Here was the biggest one I found: (Not an O Type though)

Well I managed to find 2 massive O's and a nice blackhole tonight within the space of an hour, all undiscovered.
Way of the galactic plane so Im sticking around up in this region till I hed back in about 5 days
Today marked 3 and a half weeks out here, will get back just before 1.3 goes live.
Starting to get itchy for some human interaction and a bit of pew pew/

Is it my imagination or are Os one of the rarest types? I think only Carbon and Wolf-Rayet were less common on my trips so far (in comparison Neutron stars and Black Holes are 10 a penny!)

My filter is always set to NS, WD and O. I turn on B if there are too few targets, and occasionally A
O's are my favourite too

Cluster of O's is what everyone looks for, because it means black holes and neutron stars aplenty. Reason being that massive O stars are more likely to turn into black holes.

Wikipedia info for those interested:
Stars of this type are particularly rare; only 0.00003% of the main sequence are O-type stars. Due to high temperature and luminosity, O-type stars end their lives rather quickly in violent supernova explosions, resulting in black holes or neutron stars

In that case Im going to spend some time around here definitely. Was just sat on map with normal view but now going to filter for NS and O's for a while.

Steady on, its hardly like it was an insult or a slur is it.
And when you travel say 6kylies without seeing a discovered by tag on anything and 90% of the time you arrive at an astrological rarity O type, Black Hole or a Neutron star etc its been discovered, it does seem like "everyone" is targetting them.
