Sorry about starting another thread, but could anyone with actual numbers or findings keep them here...

For my part I have been playing with the slider on the regular server and matching it to my graphics observations in Beta...

With everything maxed out at 1080x1920 with SS x1.5 I conclude that the full oculus slider (in beta) equates to approx 1/4 setting in regular game.

Also SS x2 or increasing DSR to x4 does little to improve quality ... At least not nearly as much as it should. Plus the framerate does not seem to suffer (2x980s)

In the regular game my pc would be screaming at such ridiculous settings!

Conclusions... Oculus slider max res has been set WAY too low.

judging from the dxdiags there was some issue with nvidia cards or something. I remain unconcerned.

Same here, except i use 2 970gtx so on live FPS isn't too crippled @ SSx1.5. Funny thing is that on beta i can put all at High, 2xxx*14xx custom resolution, SSx2 and got lower image quality and smoother framerate than live... So something is really wrong (shader updates can't give this much improved framerate and decrease IQ)
