OBS Studio question

Processing time depends on the encode settings and container used (they have recommended parameters to adhere to), as well as the size of the file. How heavily loaded YouTube is also matters. Could be minutes to upwards of a week, depending on all these factors.

You don't need to leave anything open; the moment the upload is done, it's all on YouTube's servers.

Right, my vid is on YT and the standard def mode has been processed. It's now doing the HD processing.
  • How long does that take?
  • Can I log off the Toob while this is happening or do I need to keep the browser open?
  • When I recorded the video, it was in 4K - will YT need another round of processing to take of that or is it all part of the HD process? Ah, wait. I can see the SD icon has stopped flashing and HD and 4K are still going. I s'pose that's that answered! Wow - it'll be a while then!
Sorry for the n00b questions...
It takes as long as it takes.
You can log off
Yes, it's slow. :)

Flippin' eck.

The upload finished around 14:30 PM GMT... it's still processing HD although the video can now be viewed in 1080p60. Lord only knows where the 4K version is at :(

EDIT Just started the 4K process. Ye gods.

EDIT2 Er... the 2160p60 can be viewed as well although it says it's still processing the 4K version. I don't understand... does this mean there'll be a 3840x2160 version at some point? Confused!

I had heard of OBS a lot before, as I followed many streams in the last few years. Never came around what this actually was.
Now I know. Thanks.
Downloading it now, as I've had some situations lately where I wished I could record these - the recording option of the XBox overlay for windows doesn't like Elite, it seems.
