Parks Ocean World

Captain Eye Donor works :)

So does the stuff you're doing here. Nice look to everything, I'm curious as to what "Bermuda Adventure" will be, especially because I don't see anything overtly Triangular ;)

Another update... it's getting to the building stage now which I LOVE *sarcasm*. I've almost finished placing paths and have more of a micro layout... now all I need to do is fill it in with buildings and theming.

D3vXJ2s.jpg

So the Bermuda Adventure building has got it's mezzanine level.

ekGvtHc.jpg

Views over the lake.

0DIVhdv.jpg

Some plantings and shops.

hxQe5Cb.jpg

Another plaza area that I need to make a bit more sense of.

TUkzfrv.jpg

I've added another ride to the Discovery Area.

u1NbyJU.jpg

It's called Aqua Diver.

6rKaUMZ.jpg

Because of it Sea Beast has gotten some more landscaping.

vu3Y4J5.jpg

Over near the volcano I've placed some nature walks. I'm hoping to put in some more things to see... at the shore I've placed some craters letting out steam.

RnoforX.jpg

I've realised the pelican coaster's station's layout is a bit cruel because it dumps you back at the park entrance. Ah well. They'll get a good workout.

YwTEQdP.jpg

Pathed-up this area. I didn't care much before, but now I'd LOVE a rail crossing element for the trains... it's hard figuring out an elegant solution to get the people over the tracks there, but I am determined to have the track in the ridiculously inconvenient place that it is.

jr3XROM.jpg

Starting to think up of names for these rides. I think I'm gonna call the Elixir Machine 'Vogue'. And one thing I've found in this game is that I find it REALLY hard to name spinning tea cup rides.

Overview.

Very nice all over, the coasters, the scenery, the general feel of the place. But I especially like that Bermuda building and all the funky paths :)

Really loving all of this!
The Bermuda Adventure ride takes me back to the days when The Bermuda Triangle was open at Sea World, Australia. I used to love that ride. It was one of those boat rides with the volcano and alien theme going on as well.

That steampunk guy made of terrain is really impressive as well, love that.

^Yup! That's what it's inspired by! My first ever theme park was Sea World, and I think that started my obsession. The white intamin accelerator is my replacement of the Corkscrew coaster, and the area will have a clean look like on the park map...

Another update!

0rjAJvy.jpg

I've spent more time scenifying the Beasts of the Ocean area.

2pnwnfO.jpg

The Octopus has gotten a queue building, and landscaping and a fence around it.

zHi0Lei.jpg

Z3MUNhF.jpg

Some dormant kraken tentacles for the entrance.

SPVEHPV.jpg

A toilet facility and more landscaping around the brakerun for Seabeast.

eCGqbjo.jpg

The queue and entrance for Eagle Ray.

OuiOtJH.jpg

The building it leads to.

fr3RSgC.jpg

A simple, beachy station.

hOpN3zW.jpg

Another angle... and I've made a shade for Hammerhead.

LYRVfg8.jpg

And again, more landscaping.

FNAM8Aq.jpg

More scenery around Rockpool Rascals, and a station building for the train, and matching building for some merch shops.

c7RFfKU.jpg

And another overview.

Thanks wowman. [happy]

So I've started on the 'Seaside' area of the park. It's got a clean, light, beachy but 'upmarket' look.

wRWnpjX.jpg

The buildings take up a lot of time.

dqxCIbR.jpg

As I've said before, I'd prefer to be building rides, but I think I'm getting speedier at building buildings.

coryUGo.jpg

So a lot of whites and light shades of colour... with a few kicks of natural browns of wooden verandas etc.

FYDaYuX.jpg

xPhRX2V.jpg

Toilet facilities.

iEFy1bo.jpg

This will be a restaurant/seating area.

VDVczFz.jpg

The little downtown area opens up to a variety of rides.

FYDaYuX.jpg

It will all be very manicured.

UtM9Vjz.jpg

FoGqunw.jpg

Vogue will be the central ride in the area. Themed to an exclusive soiree that involves a mysterious machine that guests use for enjoyment.

LDBS32N.jpg

Still haven't thought of a name/theme for the coaster.

A5Vk0D9.jpg

And the lighthouse gives a focal point to observe from the other side... I didn't want to cover the slops with forest like the other areas... but it looked strange without anything.

5FscC1c.jpg

It gives it a harbour feel so I'm thinking of calling the area Pleasure Harbour.

An update of some work on the area next to the harbour area. I knew it was going to have a loose shorefront/waterfront vibe, but with the dodgems it felt too carnival-y and boardwalk-y. So I lost that and had an idea for one of those gerstlauer Sky Flys and it developed from there. It's developed a bit of an 'Australiana' type vibe actually.

p4HLLlA.jpg

So this is the 'money shot' of the area, and the Sky Fly dominates the air over the midway.

BJjnDRr.jpg

The ride is called Fly Signers, themed to Bi-Planes pulling those banners across the sky.

fOEMD1b.jpg

Although the little planes on the actual ride aren't, so perhaps they're just training.

HuY7Z4L.jpg

Here's an overview of the plaza... still has a way to go though!

AxRxDlG.jpg

The Ocean World Wheel has a non-functioning 'restaurant' in front of it. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get to the place where I make seats and tables and decorate interiors. I really admire the people who have the patience to go to that level of detail though!

LJjQ2wf.jpg

All the buildings in this area have a boat house vibe. To the right is the entrance to the pelican coaster, which I haven't named yet.

XBjB37k.jpg

This was where it started having a tropical Australian feel, which I'm happy with. I'll use it more.

h4jp1pm.jpg

The vista over the lake towards the pirate area.

zzusyWe.jpg

And the view towards the 'harbour' area of the park. I'm liking how it flows... it's kinda feeling like one area with two sections.

YSXMTNg.jpg

I also started on the station and a bit of theming for the pelican coaster.

1Uls1kF.jpg

Overview.

And just some images of a relatively traditional invert for the pirate area:

I like the new look, too. Very good stuff. I especially like the sign for the biplane ride, including the plane pulling it.

Don't sell yourself short. You do everything else great and if you can make that biplane sign, you can make tables and chairs ;). They're actually fairly easy, especially because there are only a handful of parts small enough to make peep-sized furniture. The smallest art shapes, the smallest candy canes, etc.

And you only ever have to make 1 table and 1 chair. Start with the 1m gridded wooden column so the furniture is a building allowing you to group-select multiple ungridded parts. Anyway, plunk down the column in an open area of the map, then construct 1 table and 1 chair somewhere beside it. Save this all as a blueprint. Then make the building you want to put the furniture in. Then plunk down your furniture blueprint and start editing the furniture "building". First, select the 1m column and move it someplace you can hide it, like in a void space in the building, or out in the yard where you can set a rock or bush on it. Then it's just a matter of group-selecting the table and/or chair, moving them where you want them, and duplicating them so you end up with many pieces of furniture all the same "building".

Thanks guys!

Bullethead: I think I'll eventually get there... it's actually made me desire an element in the game where you can just quickly piece together prebuilt chairs and tables and a counter etc. I don't think I ever gave it a second thought before.

Really getting into the pirate area... although I have decided that they must be wild but friendly pirates because there is a lot of gardening and order in the village. The fact that the entertainer, who I'm calling captain metalbeard, shoots confetti from a gun contributes to it as well!

gP18Q87.jpg

That mess of paths leading into the area have become a bridge.

Ua5pGRc.jpg

m94QzZx.jpg

Hopefully gives off a steampunk vibe.

You are making a nice job of this park. I like how you have blended the different areas together without it being overly done. Hope you manage to get your own computer soon. It must be annoying to have to rely on a friends computer to play this game. Looking forward to your progress with Ocean World. [up]
