Oceania Pack - What do we think of it now?

Love it more and more as I find new uses for the construction pieces. I love organic construction pieces and light tones, so I am using the net and driftwood a lot for custom construction pieces. I'm not into the tiki stuff so much, I don't tend to heavily theme any of my areas, but the colours are beautiful. Love the canoe sets.

I love the quokka more than I ever thought I would. I love rats though so its really tickling that itch for me as its shaped like a big happy rat. I love building smaller habitats so all the animals in this pack delighted me and was a nice change after all the much larger animals we got this year.

Animals 7/10 - there should have been lorikeets. Beautiful renderings and animations though.

Foliage 8/10 - all gorgeous, the ferns are heavenly, just wanted flexicolour rocks/more rock shapes.

Scenery 10/10 for me.

The scenery is fantastic and the new plants are chief's kiss

The career scenerio was also a lot of fun. I am endlessly grateful to whoever at Frotier got the message to stop doing the awful timed scenerio, because I truly enjoy playing these new career levels over and over.

With the exception of the spectacled bat, I haven't used any of the animals outside of the new scenerio and I don't know when I will. That said, the models are beautiful and I'm happy that a basic Australian or New Zealand zoo can be made.

The only animal I'm really not big on is the quokka. What are they smiling about anyway? Creepy pouched potatoes! ;)

I wish that the quokka had been a tree roo, a Victoria crowned pigeon, a paradise shelduck, a black swan - but I also understand that the kiwi and the devil probably took a lot of work, hence the two "clone" animals.

Overall, it's my lowest rated pack, but it still has a lot of great things and I would buy it again.

Very nice building theme but super rare in zoos animals that are important only for the Oceania regional zoos left me with the feeling of insufficiency. But I guess it’s great for the players from there. Really liked the island map and new plants. Overall 3/5.
