Oculus 2.4 Update Issues?

Can anyone confirm that its only with the Native Oculus Install (not Steam Install)?

IOW:

- Anyone with a Steam install having issues?
- Anyone with an Oculus Install NOT having issues?

Yup... Uninstalled and Reinstalled as the Update is broken (at 97%)...

It doesn't take too long as it appears the files are already staged from the failed update. Also my keybindings were preserved from the uninstall (I have them backed up anyway)...

Still having issues with the Rift update, also not being given the option to uninstall.....the only option is details, this takes me to a video and some reviews......any other ideas how I can delete?

I was stuck on this as well. Open Oculus Home on your PC screen (not in the HMD). Go to your library screen. Hover over the ELITE game tile and you will see three dots ("...") pop up in the lower right corner under the tile. Click on those three dots and you will see an uninstall option. (There is a screen shot above in this thread)

That's were I am trying but it is just giving details option, it keeps trying to install update too even though I have turned automatic updates off

KIll oculous process and restart oculous home software. Uninstall Elite Dangerous from within Oculous Home desktop application. Reinstall from within OH App...

Boom .. It works.

You might have to wait for the update to fully fail before you can get the option to uninstall... (as its busy)

I had the 97% problem too. This worked. Took about 5 minutes. Recommended. :)

resstart oculus home, uninstall the game for the 5th time, took 10sec, and reinstall it again for the 6th times, install to 100% then done, then still not update.

I guess I am not able to really uninstall it.

I think I managed to uninstall / reinstall ok before I came to work this morning,m. The app wouldn't open from Oculus Home (got a 'something wrong' error message), but launched ok from the ED launcher.

How can I check which version of ED I currently have installed in Oculus Home?

Update was successful when starting Oculus home manually as an administrator. Update failed when Oculus home was started with normal user privilidges as a part of normal Rift usage.

Sloppy testing from ED/Oculus.

Anyone else having issues with Oculus Update? It gets to 97% and then crashes out telling me my AV is causing an issue. I have checked/disabled Kaspersky, Windows Defender, and the Firewall. Still no luck.

I had the same problem, same percentage, and went through the same steps, including a reboot and running Oculus Home as Administrator. Nothing worked. Had to uninstall/reinstall ED, and that worked fine.
