Oculus 2.4 Update Issues?

This is killing me. 5 times Oculus Home has downloaded the update to 100%, and then installed to 100%, but it never completes. As it never completes I can't get the option to uninstall and thanks to my noob PC gamer skills I can't find the install files to delete them.

Urgh.
same thing happened to me. I hand to unistall oculus aswell as the whole thing froze. Fresh install of the oculus software and then i was able to uninstall ED

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled, and got as far as the login screen and hit another problem. It asks for a verification code that was emailed to me, but after waiting nearly half an hour, the code did not show up in either my inbox or my junk folder. I exited the window and tried again, and still no code. What the hell, FDev?

There was a notice on the server status page that some mail servers where having issues with the verification mail.

I'd raise a support ticket just to make sure.

I had this issue..
Solved it by changing my registered email address to my partners yahoo address as advised by the help desk at Frontier - verification code email came through promptly

.. all new ED update installed OK and working

Having same problem here too. Update won't install, same anti-virus warning others are getting.

I'm not intending on uninstalling and reinstalling Oculus and its library just for ED (yet). I've got too much installed in the library now to fiddle about with config settings and not enough disk space.
They can fix it.

If the patch accidentally references a Windows system file then this can happen.
Hopefully we won't see a "Boot.ini" wipe debacle like one of the Eve Online patches a few years back... people ran the patch, rebooted and presto, no/corrupt boot.ini file = no windows startup. Hilarity ensued.

its not oculus. JUST THE GAME THAT NEED TO BE UNINSTALLED.

Just right click ED in the oculus library, backup keybinds first, and choose uninstall.
Them reinstall when finished.

Yeah that boot.ini was hilarious.
Not only a noob mistake to miss the file tree on the delete command.
But just having a file in the game with the same name as a windows essential file...

I had the same problem, but I noticed that there was an Oculus update queued behind the Elite Dangerous update. Let that install, and then tried again on Elite Dangerous, and the update installed.

Maybe Oculus have now fixed the problem!
