Does anyone have both Oculus Rift and Track IR?
I'm interested in opinions of the relative merits of each of them.
From my reading, I guess OR should in theory be more immersive, since your head movement is 1 for 1 what it would be in a real life setting and you are blocked from seeing the room around you.
With TrackIR, I understand your head movements are exaggerated by the device so that for example you only move your head 10 degress, but this is equivalent to looking all the way behind.
I'm interested to know whether this factor breaks the feeling of immersion, or does it just feel natural after a while?
I also guess that with TrackIR, you can still keep higher resolutions if you have several screens, and you can still see your keyboard etc, and therefore TrackIR might be better for things like FSX where you might need to see panels and controls outside of your VR view.
Any comments from anyone that has used both would be most welcome.
TIA
Patrick
