Oculus update 1.9.0 has ballsed up sensor detection

I've just had my Oculus software update itself to 1.9.0 and now it keeps saying "We've detect that you've plugged in a new sensor".

If you're getting the same thing perhaps you could add your voice to this Oculus forum post ...

Obviously the main problem is the false new sensor detection but if they could fix that message so it doesn't read like badly translated Japanese TV instructions then that would be cool too.

All your sensor are belong to us!

It seems it's a known problem, a guy on their forum (cybereality) got back to me fairly promptly to say they're investigating now. I'm not sure it actually prevented ED from working (didn't actually try last night), it's just that I kept getting an annoying notification about my sensor.

Hmm, wierd. Hope they fix it for you soon.

Occasionally I get a "Sensor not found" followed by "Sensor found" or some such message, but I put that down to USB power/sleep behaviour. It only happens when I'm not wearing it.

I never lose tracking in ED.

I keep seeing people saying that their Oculus app has updated itself but mine has never done this - I always get a red banner at the top asking me to update (which is fine by me, it means I can choose not to update in case of issues like this :)). I wonder why that is. Not seen 1.9 yet.

Does 1.9 have the official support for ASW or is it still too soon? (I'm guessing they will wait for AMD to be ready).
