It got it.

From Steam, instead of selecting to Launch ED:Horizons...
You have to just select to launch vanilla ED without Horizons, then the ED patcher comes up with the Odyssey install option.
I'm now showing "Preparing for Update" ..

Well my Kickstarter account had the option.
But my accoutn with LEP purchased when available for the Horizons Pre-order did not.

Guess htey are batching, or they do not like my 2nd account.

Somebody was asking about the location, here's the path to mine (still installing)

Heaps of people are having problems getting the download started, but MY issue must be because they are deliberately trying to rip off the LEPers... Despite other LEPers getting the download...

VR and Elite Dangerous Odyssey

We understand that our VR players are keen to know more about how the transition and gameplay will work in Odyssey in VR. With that in mind, we would like to share our current plan for how that will work.
In Odyssey, players will be able to fly down to planets, fly through atmospheres and drive along planet surfaces in their SRVs - all while remaining in VR.

Yes, they did.

It has all of Fdev's latest info posted in it from their latest Odyssey news letter released 4 days ago.

The first stage of the Alpha does not include flying ships and driving SRV's, so therefore VR is not part of he first stage.

This isnt showing for me in the launcher. I prepurchased the alpha through steam, but cant really tell if that puschase happened. If I look at my account at FDev, Im showing no purchases. Should I be re-purchasing it or something?
