Odyssey material trading thread.

I havent seen another thread on the forums dealing with trading materials amongst players, so here it goes.

If you need something hard to find and want to trade for it post in here what you are looking for and work out with others what you would be willing to give for it.

This is mainly to help with some of the rarer and harder to find materials as some players may have already upgraded/unlocked what they needed.

ok. This is tricky but in Horizon (in space), you can only eject whats in your cargo hold, you can't eject materials, encoded materials and data. Odyssey is more friendly to exchange, because when your "on the foot", you can eject everything (goods, assets, data) but only Odyssey stuff, everything you have in Storage but still nothing from Inventory.
Trading some stuff (anything you can put in your cargo hold) for credits is possible but you or person you trade with needs to have carrier.

the idea was to have people trade matrerials for other materials, not credits, though i suppose thats possible with some SRV's, limpets and/or a ton of californium.

Everything from your Storage, Odyssey stuff like californium you can trade while on foot. You can Drop, goods, assets and data at any time. Just put what you want to Drop in your backpack and then you can Drop it for someone else to pick it up.

yes, I'm taking it slow. I don't like to grind. Data needed to unlock engineers is very hard to find. Stuff that you need, logic tells me that you may want to look in Hi Tech systems and settlemnets with laboratory building but that is my logic and you can't find much logic in this game. You can find weapon schematics in mining settlements, bio and genetic samples in industrial building and opinion polls and reclining logs in command centers :)

Im at 8 of the 20 data i need.

High security agriculture and biochemical settlements is where I have been hunting

How exactly does one eject goods, assets, data? I missed that option.

Sidenote: I really wish FDEV would update the manual for Odyssey.

Ive been doing this too but they only spawn one at a time. And the system i was getting them in stopped providing them because the system state changed to war, so ive been farming agri and biochemical buildings because they seem to drop more often but its still a hurdle. Got 3 more last night

While on foot, go to your Backpack, select what you want to Drop, press on it and choose Drop. Remember, you can go to your ship or srv and manage your Backpack. This way you can Manage what is in your Backpack.

LOL I can see a lot of people crying that they have lost everything after 'X' killed them after they dropped their items lol

If you are trying to unlock Oden forget about the data. Its biological samples btw, not biometric data.
I took a couple missions for a hydroponics lab, digital espionage type, although I dont think the mission type really matters as long as the site is active. I found 5 biological samples between the 2 agri dome type buildings each time. Try hydroponic type sites, active ones, with those agri domes. You'll have 20 bio samples in no time at all from the lockers inside them.
