Just because you are a lone wolf* does not mean no interaction with others. I get not wanting to join with another CMDR to go looting settlements, but that is not the only way to make contacts. I made many good contacts and friends because of the Odyssey gear sharing thread. I made many more because of the materials sharing thread.I know, but SteveWW57 was talking about FC bartenders and one does not simply trade with FC bartenders...

Once you establish a relationship, benefits can be had. The FC owner will add you to his/her list of friends so that you can access the carrier. Even if you make friends with a non FC owner, there can still be benefits, like getting first dibs on any available materials.
One way to make friends with a FC owner might be to sell tritium to the carrier (mine platinum, sell high, buy tritium and sell to the carrier at cost). FC owner sets a sell order for Odyssey materials that you can then buy at minimal cost.
* As you are engaging with the forum, you are not totally a "lone wolf". It shows that there is hope for you yet!

One option for the non-combat player: mission rewards for assassination missions. Yes that sounds a bit odd (and might not suit the RP "nonviolent" character), but the lower-threat ones are often just security guards outside on patrol, with shields down. Find the target on a terminal, and zap him/her with the zapper tool (or just fire one shot from a high-damage weapon). Not really "combat". If the others spot you, shields up and run away.
