Odyssey VR specific bug reports - please contribute!

Hurray! Now only one game breaking VR bug remains (black screen of death).
...and (for me) the ā€œmaintain horizonā€ setting for the SRV 😁 Both unacknowledged šŸ˜…

I’m hoping for the invisible/partially visible rocks to get sorted out soon - mismatched eye screens is a headache inducer 🤢

The main remaining 2D rendering VR bugs are some rocks and some weird mingled texture over the whole planet on approach. No idea what that is but definitely not great on the eye sight.

I was wondering if it was my eyesight or not on the planet texture thing šŸ˜…

I’ve been doing the closing-alternate-eyes thing to see if I could spot it or whether I was just imagining it, but I think it’s only certain planet types.

I also noticed this morning that there’s a mismatch in the loading screen hologram - the scan lines effect is different in each eye.

I haven't noticed that, but I have long been annoyed with them not only being lines, but containing quite a bit of rectangular bas-relief greebling (...on top of the usual matter of the lines following your head around, but that could be explained as an effect of the projector and view visor being mounted to your head :9).

Yes - the rectangular bas-relief greebling are the parts that are mismatched. Nice turn of phrase, I’ll pinch it if I ever do a bug report for it 😁

I don’t know if it’s always been thus, perhaps I’ve only noticed it because I’m checking for stereo errors. The lines following head movement bugs me much more in night-vision mode, but I expect such things to get fixed along with sprite effects rotating with head movement - ie. I’m not holding my breath šŸ™‚

Why is this set to "fixed"? You can't aim at all in VR.

DSS aiming reticule is still unusable in VR when you get a new link please all use the same one
Please see:
I’ve moved https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/33768 back into the ā€œconfirmingā€ section - it has the most confirmations out of the ā€œduplicateā€ reports and should reach the required 10 soon. Please add a comment that the problem still exists in Update 2 - I’ll be doing so as soon as I’ve tested it myself šŸ‘

@Arioch, there has been no confirmation from FD, but I'm no longer getting the head camera glitch when leaving carrier services. It may have been fixed when the VR hologram problems were fixed with the first update. Can someone with a fleet carrier check whether the camera is in the correct position when leaving carrier services and returning to the hanger.

The bug report in your list is: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/31341 - exiting services head position glitch - can now vote*

The DSS issue has now got ā€œconfirmedā€ status and can be voted on: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/33768 - I’ve just checked and it’s still borked for me as well.

@A D - I think that issue may have been linked to the ā€œstuck camera when leaving Outfittingā€ which was solved in Update 1 - if anyone else can confirm it’s okay with FC’s I’ll move it into the Closed list šŸ‘

I’ve moved issue #25060 (knee panel opens when looked at) and its duplicate into the Closed section - this morning I’ve tested it working as it should, and there’s another user confirming the fix in the issue report. I couldn’t see it in Update 2 patch notes, but it’s been done nonetheless.
