News Official merchandise store now open!

Ed, the problem is not with stock availability it's about how your sales staff are not responding to issues. Tickets have gone ignored, leaving the only option to contact Paypal or CC company to sort. Strangely my order was identical to Helios, key ring and 30th An T-shirt and placed on 18th Nov. if we were told promptly what was going on we could make an informed decision whether to wait or cancel. Approaching 4 weeks from order is not good. Get me a delivery date and I can then decide.

To summarise, what is FD's take on the sale of 'unofficial' merchandise in a not-for-profit or for-charity capacity. For example, sales of 'custom' items through stores like Cafepress.co.uk, where you can upload your own images?

I can confirm these specific shirts were out of stock for a period of time, but they're back in with our new distributors. Im going to take some time to chase up individual orders, so give me a PM if you want me to look in to yours.

Don't waste your time with the tickets, just goto Paypal or CC company and raise a claim. The more people that do it this way will lower their rating and Paypal/CC Company may become 'unfriendly' or even 'hostile' toward Frontier.

I do think the way the customers are being treated is appauling and if it were Amazon or Tesco or any major retailer they would be shot down in flames. They are lying to you, they are awaiting stock, which is the response I got via my Paypal claim. I've not seen any viable response on these forums from Frontier Developments about how the store complaints are being handled (or NOT)
I work for an authorisations dept. for a merchant bank. What will happen is if they get a given amount of chargebacks it will be then passed to the fraud team. In the mean time, the merchant will have their acquiring (the ability to accept credit cards and debit cards) facilities withdrawn pending an investigation . Any funds they are holding will be taken by the fraud team and redistributed to the various individuals if that investigation goes against said merchant. It also severely damages the merchants ability to gain further acquiring facilities in the future. I'm considering a chargeback for a measly £6 for a keyring which I ordered weeks ago and is still in the processing status.
 
Hi. I've added this on my to do list for first thing tomorrow morning. I'd love to give you a definitive answer on it rather than stock 'We're looking in to it' thing. So as soon as the store guys get in tomorrow I'll chase them up.

I do know that we were moving to a completely different distributor as the previous company couldn't fulfill our orders effectively, so the transition may have caused a hiccup. Like I said, I'll get on it first thing tomorrow morning.

Did anything happed with this, sent PM as requested, heard nothing, and all I wanted was a definitive answer either way? Deliver goods and make a sale or refund money and we both walk away. At least get a personalised response to tickets raised.

Supposedly, we get a choice of 1 of 5 ships as well?
Already got my eagle, used its sale to buy my Adder!
 
I ordered a key ring a month ago. 16/11/2014. Still processing.
Submitted a ticket over a week ago, but that ticket is gone and never received a response.

Submitted a new ticket a few minutes ago. Hopefully I can get a response as to when to expect delivery.
 
Glad i put the paypal claim in now,even being ignored on here.
Managed to get a keyring tho,off ebay of all places same price as FD.

I pre-ordered the 'Coriolis Station T-shirt' in November expecting it would be sent by last week, not let alone Christmas (it is a present) but even this is looking very unlikely now. I have sent a ticket and received no reply. I understand this is a busy week for Frontier, but it is really no excuse for paying customers to be left with no updates on orders they have been waiting for weeks for.

Still never had a reply to the email i sent them 2 weeks ago dont hold your breath.
But i have had a reply from paypal about my claim.
FDs response was the item has been sent via TNT although the tracking number cant be found on the TNT website so still none the wiser.

We will be sending you an email with information regarding the status of your order to keep you up to date. However, if you do not receive this by the end of the day on Monday 22nd December, please log a ticket on the new support system.

This clearly isn't a well organised setup w.r.t. their merchandise. They've changed distributors on the run-in to Christmas and failed to really deliver good in a timely manner. This last correspondence seems almost a joke! It took 10 days to get a response to the first ticket - raising a ticket for an order which was supposed to be Christmas gift 3 days before Christmas isn't going to do any good.

Thoughts anybody?

Totally agree. Ordered a t-shirt for a Christmas present at the end of November and haven't had any response at all. It is so close to Christmas now I can't see it being sorted out either way. The whole experience has been a shambles and I won't be buying from there again or recommending others to do so.
 
I finally received my order yesterday :) after I ordered a Cobra MkIII T-Shirt and a Pin Badge in mid Novemeber.

However............

They have sent me a Corialis T-Shirt instead (even though the label on the bag says Cobra T-Shirt), so will be sending it back, Heaven knows how long it will take for them to send me the correct T-Shirt.

I've received said email telling me about one of my two orders .... surprise surprise it's out of stock oh and here's a link to contact support should I want a refund .... well what a class A job you've done there with that email - the link takes me to a 404 page not found! Professional!
