Offline, Mods, Cheat codes any plan?

I take example on TB who said In single player play cheating could offer a better game play.

I think about Mutator mod or simple cheat to skip useless grinding or make the game faster for people who do not have the time.

I think it is the video in question:

I own the game since the Béta. I still have a mk3
I do not try any load out or style of play. Simply because I don't have the time to play.

Many are like me. I would like to enjoy the game I BOUGHT. but I stock behind the progression system or grinding.

A truth offline mode could be useful for that. also possibility for modification will be a nice addition.

Never gonna' happen. I believe that's FD's stance on this matter.

If there was an offline mode that didn't impact any part of the BGS - go right ahead. But since it's online only, sorry, but no.

I like testing stuff try new thing.

But The game dont allow that because you need a extreme amount of credit.

See here's the thing. Games NEED expensive stuff that require a lot of time investment, to give players a reason to play the game in the first place. Something to work for. Otherwise... What's the point of the game?

that the point it need a way to not impact the BGS.

any game need good cheat code.

Games really, really don't need cheat codes...

Offline: The only offline mode possible, I can think of, would be one that a) isn't connected to the BGS, b) limits you to a single large system that has everything you need to test, c) everything is free. This way you can test and experiment as much as you like without it affecting your main character, or the BGS (and by extension other players).

Mods: Not impossible, just highly improbable (we're talking 99.99~% improbability here),

Cheat codes: Unnecessary if they implement the offline mode as I suggested above. In the main game? Even more improbable than mods.

A bad game needs cheat codes.
A good game does not.

People call that grinding.

A good gameplay do not need Grinding to be still interesting.

Exemple Age of empire Starcraft Quake 3.
those game was play and still play for countless hours. everything was unlock to the player day one.

It is not a cell phone game like clash of clan with no gameplay or Cookie clicker. it is a nice space ship simulator.

Fly simulator have everything unlock people still fly the plane for hour to airport to airport.

Why ? because they like it.

Show me any other MMO that lets you skip progression.

If you don't like grinding then don't grind; get into community goals or join a wing or start powerplay, or something else.

Clearly you're one of these guys who thinks he should be able to have a fully spec'd 'Conda after just twenty minutes game-time. Not how it works. "Grinding" is a crucial part to this game, it is what drives the players to, I don't know, play?

If I could have a 'Conda straight away, I wouldn't care about what I was flying at all. I wouldn't care about the game at all, as there would be no involvement.

Is my response harsh. Yep', but it needed to be said.

Wow they do but you need to pay.

Free 2 play mmo like the good Startrek one.
you can buy good stuff and have a good powerful ship really fast.

I would like to have the option.

I really don't want to own a game with a lot of spaceship infinite space.
and only do the same good trade route over and over again with the same ship for hours.

What you're asking for there is pay-to-win.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

No.

I see you do not understand.

I said Single player.

The only person who is effected by my choice is me.
My own experience of the game. not yours.

True single-player would kill the game.

LOL

the good startrek one??

when did they make a good startrek one?

news just in. it's free to play because it was/is crap and no one of sane mind was paying a sub for it!

I do kind of understand where the OP is coming from. Back in my old C-64 or Amiga days, having the odd cheat code could be quite a bit of fun from time to time (in good games as well as bad).
.
Not going to happen in this iteration of Elite though given it's online. And sadly the death of the offline mode originally proposed has contributed to not being able to play with cheats or mods at some point.

there is no part of the game you can't enjoy in a cobra mk3.

(and i think that's by design. i think i can tell you, because i had enough time to earn enough CR ingame to fly every ship, and you can play every mission/ do every activity, mining, combat, assassinations, rare goods trading, exploration etc. III --- a cobra is my main ship to go).

that said, ofc i would love a testing offline mode where you can have everything for free, like a simulator/holodeck.
