OK guys, I am ready to admit that I am completely stuck!

Wow, what a long and adventurous journey it has been.....but now I am finally home-at my home System of Alioth, no less! Thank you to everyone who gave me a helping hand when I was stuck at the edge of Elysian Shore! Hilariously, when I was closer to the bubble & exploring via the FSS, I kept seeing shadows that I couldn't seem to resolve. That's because I had completely forgotten about Degraded & Encoded Emissions :D.

When I arrived at Khun, I was amazed by how much the Bubble had changed in my long absence. After all, Fleet-carriers & Squadrons weren't actually a thing when I left the Bubble! Though some of the names given to the Fleet-carriers kind of caught me off guard ;)

Of course, just my luck that the first Outpost I land at is controlled by pirates.....& had no Hull Repair facility either!

Of course its a Pirate Outpost.jpg

So I just resolved myself to jump the extra 150 Light Years to my home system of Alioth.

So I started selling all my accumulated Exploration Data....but decided to take a break from that once I'd surpassed 200m Credits worth (seriously, I'd spent 10 minutes selling the data ;)). Needless to say, I got a ton of accolades, & managed to gain Elite Rank in Exploration....not to mention a Permit to visit Founder's World :)! The question is, what to do now I am back?

get an aspE at irkutsk? i think they still have it at best price?
fit a golden paintjob to that cobra and put it on display?
and head over to the bgs subforum and ask around which playergroup has need for explo data? or do a tour getting all permits?
grats for making it back!

First of all: Congrats on making it home! I always get paranoid when I get back to civilized systems.

Take a break from exploring until it's lure pulls you back in like a Tony Soprano on steroids!
Then get an ASP Explorer (or an Anaconda, if you're into fat whales), fit it and become best buddies with Felicity Farseer.

Let her engineer your FSD and she can also help you make some other components lighter.

Enjoy your new Scarab garage.

Get an astronomy book or two, watch a few space documentaries on YT or Netflix. Say: "That's where I wanna go!"
And go! :)

You might also try to hijack/make a few friends to explore together or sign on to an expedition heading out.

So much to see in the galaxy after all... Just yesterday I found the most impossible systems and I wasn't even searching hard.
Lastly, don't be a stranger. It's always nice to meet another explorer somewhere deep out in the void!

I already have an AspE.

If you are looking for a possible 'wild goose chase' I have a sector of space around 12k from the bubble that has several bodies with Brain Trees that I have found, but the nearest Guardian Ruins were found over 3KLy away. I'll be heading back there once I have done learning to fly small ships again, FC journey to the region 'soon' ;)

Are they in or near the Graea Hypue region by any chance?

Yes, on the border of the Norma Arm / Norma Expanse - has there been one found in the region recently?

Been through that area like a rash mapping the Brain Tree region out, there's a permit locked planetary nebula at the center of the region that's probably related to the Brain Trees, HEN 2-333.

This is the rough extent of the region although you can still find them in some of the nearby nebula;

Hmmm...
You may be on the nail there - my systems are only a couple of hundred LY away from the topmost in your search area - so potentially the permit lock area is the one of interest!

Once you get into the area every systems with suitable bodies has Brain Trees, the fact the locked system is a planetary nebula explains why the guardian bases are mostly in nebula, because it makes the sky a familiar view to them, they like the comfort of being surrounded by a nebula because that's what home is like.

Ah, great. Now I know where I go next! :)
Pretty sure if we find any inscriptions, someone will translate them to "Mr Miyagi's little trees" one day.

You'll probably hate me for this...

...your search area is roughly 'egg-shaped' and the centre is "Hen"

Which came first - the chicken or the egg?

I'll get my coat...
