OK. I Moved Everything To Jameson

Assuming that (initially) Frontier won't burn down the PF home station, I moved everything- ships, modules- there.

My fleet carrier will automatically decommission about the time that the Thargoid Doomsday Machines arrive.

Otherwise, I can clean save. Let it burn...

I am thinking the opposite. Take all my ships and modules to the edge of the bubble, or just outside, away from JM. Some little out of the way system that hopefully will not get any attention from the Goids. ShinDez and SOL are probably toast imho. Good Luck, we will all need it.

first off, no place is safe, least of all that place... home of the ELITE Pilots, should be one of the first places to go boom, if any place is going to go boom.

second
what are you afraid for?

Why would they delete all the player crap? Isn't really a popular thing. And if they do, what good would trying to move stuff away be? Surely FDEV wouldn't want to reset the playing field only to enable a couple players to curb stomp other player more easily.

Surely even if a station housing player' ships and modules is destroyed or badly damaged, they just get moved to the nearest safe undamaged station?!

They can't destroy/take peoples' stuff! 😯 ...

As it happens, I moved most of my stuff there when I unlocked the system as it makes outfitting ships a lot easier when all available modules are available to buy in one station, rather than having to fly to several stations unsure what they have and even whether you have the top level modules in every slot when nowhere else displays it all like Jameson does 😯😀.

Indeed I always wonder why we don't have CGs or some other mechanic to ward off (or even to encourage 😈😂) Thargoid attacks, while of course it's a real shame that they're never realtime attacks only weekly tick changes. 🤔
😯😀🤘

Several of the Thargoid's appearances or departures from systems in the last six months have been on days other than Thursday. The Stargoids move in realtime as do their accompanying hyperdiction bubbles. The code they've put in place for carriers probably allows other near-real-time changes to station status as well. There's probably no technical reason any more that the Thargoids can't blow up a station at 1120 UTC on a Monday.

Actual realtime for attacks would have the problems of "the Thargoids have made great advances this morning as usual, but we expect to be able to push them back in the evening, with hopes of gaining some ground overall at the weekend" and "wasn't there a station here when I went to bed?" - the reason most story events take place on a weekly (or longer) cycle is to give most people chance to take part - but maybe they have some ideas for that too.

If I were to guess, the Thargoids will have ships in most systems of the bubble so there will be more ship combat which involves conflict zones (optional to the player) and maybe some sort of ground (odyssey) combat, I do not think it'll be much more than that. I doubt we would lose all of our ships as that would put players off from playing the game.

I'm at Jameson's as well with my fleet. If things go really badly in the Bubble, I can be in Colonia in two hours via my Jumpaconda and have my fleet sent in the mail, so to speak.
