Ok.. Multiplayer communtication.... Headsets? Tell me how to set it up

I looked in the options and dont see any setting for a headset and mic so what is everyone using to communitcate with wingmates? Im kinda dumb in this department as Im not usually a multiplayer person. Any help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!![big grin]

I believe the only things you need to setup is the Push To Talk buttons in the Config bindings. Rest should happen in game. IIRC it will open voice comms automatically joining a wing, but there are some options in the Comms panel where I think you can change them (sorry a bit vague as I am not at my gaming PC).

Use a 3rd party app like Discord, TeamSpeak, etc.. You'll need a server to connect to, but by and large 3rd party voice comms have a lot more flexibility and options available.

Generally speaking, 'built in' voice options in games suck hard. At least on the PC.

This. And as an added bonus, you'll be able to use that same app on a different game without setting something else up. I recommend Discord. It's quite easy to get everything going and it's pretty popular.

The ability to use headset comms is one of the best reasons to join an established wing, as they have this already worked out.

Not only do you get better comms, but you get to know your wing mates and adds a very nice dimension to the game.

Get yourself a wireless set if you don't have one now.
