I've been trying this in my Adder, I didn't win but also didn't have to make any insurance claims either in about 5 retries of going after the same Elite Anaconda. It's been great fun for the challenge but I've been breathing a lot of emergency oxygen recently 
Lesson 1 was; Steer clear of the "Huge plasma" - it certainly gives out a pounding
2. Chaff doesn't really seem to stop the turrets targeting
3. a Point Defence helps with those missiles
I did fit shiny hull plating which helps but still lost my canopy a lot which seems to be my Achilles heel
