More importantly, are there plans to enable us to either buy them from a Human Tech broker or engineer them ourselves? Really want a full set of 4 (or more) to put on my cutter.

I take it you don't do any mining in FA Off? Because for an experienced FA Off pilot, spinning asteroids are actually irrelevant. The only bad thing about them is the higher propensity to destroy Limpet drones, but that's all.

I do it FA on and still hit the spot on fast spinners.
Some skill helps. I also got no use for the modules.

Engineering remains disabled... Would expect that would need a Client update anyway not just server side as the engineers will need to be enabled...

Disappointing, but thanks for the update. I wonder if the experimental effect reduces chip-rate.

yep 2.0 was reduced to 1.9 on CG item due to exp effect...

So basically the CG Mining Laser niche is:

• I have just enough Distributor to manage an additional draw of 0.75 MW without frying myself (which is basically relevant on Class 4 Distributors and smaller)
• I like to use Mining Lances to chip rocks
• I like to collect unique modules.

Throwing the Incendiary Rounds Experimental on it was gratuitous. Hard not to read that as being trolled (r.e. lower chip rate while not impacting Thermal Load). I really hope this is a prelude to retiring the Mining Lance and replacing it with a 3D Mining Laser.

I just checked a nearby system with a tritium hotspot. Seems a nice 3rd laser addition for my CMK4 and it works as expected. Just had to sacrifice my abrasion blaster for it. So depending on what exactly I'm going to mine, it will be at least my second laser (if going with the abrasion blaster, that is). Anyway, it's nice to have but far from a "must have" since for my CMK4 the mining bulk still comes from SSD mining.

Yup, Class 4 Distributor. I'd did both events and got them too. I just don't understand the logic behind slapping on Incendiary Rounds.

Something that most people probably don't know: You can kill NPCs with the abrasion blaster (I did it once, not that it's particularly easy). Now that you mention it, I regret not supporting this CG as well. I would have loved to know what this expansion brings here in terms of use as a weapon.

I found myself low on ammunition while unlocking Guardian Tech and ended up using an Abrasion Blaster to kill Guardian Sentinels.
