Only able to play demo

I bought Elite Dangerous Commander Deluxe Edition yesterday on a third party site and it gave me a steam key. I activated the product on Steam and I can run the launcher but I am only given the option to play the demo when I login to everything. I made sure steam is connected with my Frontier account but it still won't work. I also made sure to add my billing address. I am at a complete loss. I already contacted support but they have yet to reply and its been over a day. Here's some videos of everything I have tried.

I have no idea what could be causing this. I am literally on a fresh install of Windows 10 and I have reinstalled the launcher through Steam NUMEROUS times

Okay it's fixed. this is what they said.

Thanks for getting in touch with us and I'm sorry that you've had this issue.
We're aware of an issue with 3rd party keys at the moment which we're investigating.
To help us out and so we can make sure you have game access can you please let us know the Key.

Try logging into the frontier website and ensure that your keys are linked to your frontier account (not through stream), you should have 3 keys to enter, the base game, horizons and the cosmetic pack.

Though I suspect that the problem is you bought the game from a "third party"...

Its a Steam copy of the game, not the frontier version. It doesnt show any keys. I only have the one I activate on Steam.

Here's what I see.

Steam does show you the key or keys. Go to Elite Dangerous in the Steam Library, right klick it and click on show productkey. As far as i know, and correct me if i´m wrong, these are the keys you have to redeem at frontierstore.net. go to my Account and select Product Access Key.

Well i don't know about Peate but me, i buy it on G2A with a Key Activation. It's worked fine for the activation.

Again, i could be wrong because i bought my keys directly from Frontier but since this is the second thread today, with the same problems all bought from some shady key reseller websites, i have the strong suspicion that you my friends could have been scammed (as i said i could be wrong and i indeed hope for you that i am). Especially G2A is verry well known for selling Keys that are bought with stolen or pirated Credit cards. Anyways this is not a Problem caused on Frontiers side. If you don´t have access to the game keys on Steam, it´s a problem on Steams end of things.

Well, there's your problem, there's another guy on here that has bought a key from a dodgy Russian website has the same issue...
thats exactly the same problem with this guy.

He bought the key from some russian key reseller and steam doesn´t show the keys. That makes 3 people with the same problem. Sry to tell you but my suspicion that you have been scammed keeps getting stronger.

I bought maybe 80% of my library on g2a and never got a problem.

Why buying a game on a third party should be a problem?
I put the Code activation and everything was fine until i launch it. Its probably a problem of frontier?

It has nothing to do with G2A. If I bought the game on Steam it would be the same. When you buy the game through frontier it's not broken like this.

Ok... you bought a Steam key from a reseller.
Steam should provide you with the activation codes.
Steam doesn´t show you the needed codes.
So your conclusion to this is it´s " a problem of Frontier"
I´m not the sharpes knife in the drawer but to me, this seems very unlikely.

Doesn't mean that every dodgy key you buy from that site is going to work, G2A is a market place not a "seller" itself, instead it is a market place for other "sellers" of "legitimate" (honestly guv it fell off the back of a truck) keys. Indeed every key you buy off there represents money that does not go to the game developer not one penny / cent or any other currency nothing.

Your only option is to contact G2A or the seller you got the key from & request your money back.

I bought the Commanders Edition through Steam (some time ago now mind) it works perfectly, was provided with 3 keys (for Base Game, Horizons & a Cosmetics pack) it worked perfectly.

Your issue has everything to do with where you got the Key from.

Well, I have a legitimate copy, bought on Steam & it has the option to show the key on there between launch and view downloadable content, I'd say this is most certainly an issue with whatever "legitimate" seller you got the key off of.
