Oops... just crashed 10KLY from Beagle Point

Just making my first trip to Beagle Point and managed to face-plant my Asp into a 2.1G planet.

Had just been to Pyrivo HW-V e2-8 and thought I'd fine somewhere to park up. Nice ringed planet one jump over.

Came in too fast, splat :eek:

Luckily I'd been to Jacques before, so I'm heading back out to try again.

Wish me luck!!

Sorry to hear that Cmdr. Probably happens to most of us at some point (I was about 100ly from Sgr A* during DWE when it happened to me). You'll get there this time :)

I *was* in the same system as you, but crashed trying to find somewhere to park up until you came online.

I had just spawned back at Jacques when you came online, so we missed each other by about 2 minutes!!

So, if i were to log in 3 min earlier, you wouldnt had landed and crashed your ship.. :eek:

Sorry for your loss, it is easy to forget gravity.

I also found myself flying upside down and doing fancy maneuvres after an overnight camp, only realizing it had 2.7g after a minute or so. Sometimes it does pay off to fly a well specced heavy fighter as exploration ship. :D
