Newcomer / Intro Open Galaxy Map question

When I click on "Open Galaxy Map" from a mission, it opens the map and circles the target system for the mission. But I can't do anything with it. There is no way I can 'select' it to plot a route etc. So I have to manually type in the system name, then it 'finds' it properly. Is this a bug? or is it intended action and everyone gets it?

I can select it. Might need to wiggle your mouse a bit ...

Edit: Some systems are quite close and it gets confused, but in general it works fine for me 🤷‍♂️

I have no problem with this. I am on PC though - are you perhaps on a console and maybe there is a problem doing it on that?

I am on a PC. But I've now found a workaround. The problem only seems to occur in "Map mode". If I am in "Realistic mode" it highlights fine and I can select it.
So I'll just stay in Realistic mode.

I am on PC, its a bit user unfriendly but I noticed i sometimes have to move the mouse cursor away and back again before it highlights the planet I want to select. Zooming in sometimes also helps I think, maybe because when zoomed out, the 'hitbox' for the densely packed systems overlap?

Yes, that's just happened to me. Both the departure system and target system were superimposed over the top of each other on the Galaxy Map. I just changed my viewing angle by holding down the mouse's left button and moving the mouse. I could then plot my route. (y)

Galmap as presented has two 'active' modes.The map itself, and the LH panel giving data and options.When selecting the manual input method and the bookmark method the descriptor on the map needs to be re-selected before the icons become active..
