Modes Open Mode Balancing Proposal... Open PvE

Incorrect- there's only one mode available where PvP doesn't exist- Solo.

PG's has NO ability or controls to lock PvP out- hence invasion of Mobius. (which results in "one-hit wonders", but still happens)

I really don't understand why you're so inherently opposed to the idea of cooperative PvE existing in Open, because you'd lose nothing you don't already have currently.


For all intents and purposes, PvP doesn't exist in Mobius. But that isn't good enough, is it?

And it's not about me losing anything. It's about the absurd entitlement of demanding that Frontier create a special mode in which a core feature of the game is butchered just because you don't like it.

PvP isn't supposed to exist in Mobius, as per the the group rules- however, there's no coded way to prevent it, either. Like I said- Mobius invasions DO occur from time to time.

And it really is all about you feeling like you're losing something- you're currently losing the argument because you cannot provide any good reasons as to why PvE players shouldn't have cooperative gameplay in Open without being harassed by PvP players.

The reason that you aren't entitled to a total safespace experience in open is because it's open and that's the game you bought. PvE players wishing for such have PG and solo. If any "group" is at a disadvantage in terms of game design, it's the PvP crowd- you and your friends can always isolate yourselves from unwanted player interaction in a PG, but if a player wishes to engage another player in combat, they must almost always be in open.

The deck is already stacked in your favor- but you're still demanding more.

I'm not "demanding" anything, I'm simply proposing FD do what should have been done from the beginning- and allow PvE players to have their cooperative environment free of harassment by players who simply can't understand that some don't favor PvP gameplay but still wish to play together and experience the game cooperatively.

And PP/BGS manipulations from solo/PG are the game that you bought. There are no bonuses or penalties from any mode. That’s the game you bought. Player interaction and “risk” are optional. That’s the game you bought.

Perfect! I sometimes play as a criminal.

Will you join me in asserting that there needs to be a version of open where Authority and bounty hunter NPCs are removed because I just want to play my way, free of harassment?

This includes the ability to inflict damage on other players' ships without them being able to fight back, because that's​ harassment too.

What ... you mean, like, it’s unfair if someone who doesn’t want to PvP against you (or doesn’t have a good enough ship) gets a CHOICE in that? See, it’s that kind of attitude that leads to calls for an Open PvE mode in the first place!

No. You have enough safe spots where you can solo undermine and indirect grief. You dont need anymore, in fact you shouldnt have any at all.

Yep, and apparently it's not "good enough" for them now, because they propose the BGS/PP be separated in terms of the modes because of their inability to engage directly with others who are simply playing the game the way it was designed to be played. It wasn't "good enough" that they had their own little sandbox (Open) to play in where they could engage targets freely at will.

So it's not "good enough" for PvE players who want to play cooperatively to be relegated to a limited population group with absolutely NO controls to prevent PvP, either.

We as PvE players didn't start this "war on the modes". We've been slogging along just fine until now- enduring having to use PG's or Solo in order to satisfy our own game play.

You've still failed to understand that your "grief" is a perceived imbalance, as you've still not been able to provide proof to the contrary.
